Abstract

UKGS adalah salah satu program Puskesmas sebagai sarana dalam upaya mengubah perilaku siswa dalam memelihara kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Salah satu penilaian obyektif untuk mengukur kebersihan gigi dan mulut anak adalah dengan indeks plak yang mengukur luas dari permukaan gigi yang ditutupi oleh plak. UKGS dilaksanakan di salah satu TK di Kota Malang, yaitu TK Katolik Santa Maria 2. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan UKGS, indeks plak siswa, dan hubungan keduanya di TK Katolik Santa Maria 2 Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei analitik dan pendekatan cross sectional, dengan menggunakan 49 sampel siswa yang berusia 5-6 tahun. Nilai indeks plak <10% termasuk kriteria baik. Penilaian UKGS dengan menggunakan borang yang dibuat oleh Kemenkes RI. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan pelaksanaan UKGS dan indeks plak siswa adalah sebesar 0,065, dengan nilai signifikansi atau probabilitas sebesar 0,657 di mana lebih besar dari taraf signifikansi 0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan UKGS masih belum maksimal, indeks plak siswa termasuk kriteria baik, dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pelaksanaan UKGS terhadap indeks plak siswa TK Katolik Santa Maria 2 Malang

English Abstract

UKGS is one of the Puskesmas programs as a means to change students' behavior in maintaining dental and oral health. One objective assessment to measure children's oral and dental hygiene is with a plaque index that measures the area of the tooth surface covered by plaque. UKGS is held in one of kindergartens in Malang City, namely Saint Mary 2 Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to find out how implementation of UKGS, student plaque index, and the relationship between them in Saint Mary 2 Kindergarten 2 Malang. The method used is analytic survey research and cross sectional approach, using 49 samples of students aged 5-6 years. Plaque index value <10% includes good criteria. UKGS Assessment using forms made by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Data analysis using Spearman Correlation Test. The results showed the relationship between UKGS implementation and student plaque index was 0.065, with a significance value or probability of 0.657 which was greater than the significance level of 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of UKGS is still not optimal, the student plaque index is a good criterion, and there is no relationship between UKGS implementation on the plaque index of Saint Mary 2 Kindergarten Malang’s students.
