Abstract

Pakan merupakan faktor penting dalam usaha peternakan ayam pedaging. Pemberian pakan dengan kandungan nutrisi yang tepat pada ternak akan menunjang produksi dari ternak tersebut, terutama penggunaan pakan komersial. Pakan komersial yang diberikan oleh peternak kepada ayam pedaging pada umumnya diproduksi oleh beberapa perusahaan pakan dengan jumlah serta kandungan nutrisi berbeda yang terkandung didalamnya, sehingga perlu dilakukan uji terhadap pakan komersial tersebut untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap tubuh ayam pedaging. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian beberapa pakan komersial terhadap kandungan ammonia, retensi nitrogen dan efisiensi protein yang dihasilkan ayam pedaging. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium lapang Sumbersekar, Desa Semanding Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang. Penelitan dilakukan pada tanggal 6 Mei sampai 25 Juni 2015. Analisis kandungan nutrisi pakan dilaksanakan di xviii Laboratorium Nutrisi Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan ayam pedaging umur satu hari (DOC) strain Loghman Platinum MB 202 produksi PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia sebanyak 20 ekor. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan ini terdiri P1 (pakan dari pabrik P), P2 (pakan dari pabrik M), P3 (pakan dari pabrik C), dan P4 (pakan dari pabrik W). Pengambilan sampel ekskreta dilakukan pada saat ayam mencapai umur 35 hari sampai 42 hari, kemudian ekskreta dikeringkan dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Cawan Conway dan Destilasi untuk mengetahui kandungan ammonia dan kadar nitrogen ekskreta. Nilai retensi nitrogen P1, P2. P3. P4 berturut-turut adalah 89,09, 87,10, 87,06 dan 86,51%. Pakan P1 memiliki nilai retensi nitrogen yang paling tinggi sebesar 89,09% dan pakan P0 memiliki nilai retensi nitrogen terendah sebesar 86,39%. Tinggi atau rendahnya nilai retensi nitrogen dipengaruhi oleh kandungan protein pakan, konsumsi protein, dan kondisi fisiologis ternak. Nilai efisiensi protein pakan P0, P1, P2, P3 dan P4 berturut-turut adalah 26,47, 30,34, 28,45, 32,74, dan 29,19%. Pakan P0 memiliki kandungan efisiensi protein paling rendah sebesar 26,47% dan pakan P3 memiliki nilai efisiensi protein tertinggi sebesar 32,74%. Tinggi dan rendahnya nilai efisiensi protein dipengaruhi oleh tinggi dan rendahnya protein pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan. Kadar ammonia pakan P0, P1, P2, P3 dan P4 berturut-turut adalah 2,29, 3,62, 3,62, 5,02 dan 4,08 ppm. Pakan P0 memiliki kadar ammonia paling rendah sebesar 2,29 ppm dan kadar ammonia tertinggi ada pada pakan P3 sebesar 5,02ppm. Rendahnya kadar ammonia xix pakan P0 dikarenakan pakan P0 memiliki kandungan protein pakan yang paling rendah diantara pakan yang lain. Kesimpulannya kadar nilai retensi nitrogen, efisiensi protein dan kadar ammonia ekskreta ayam pedaging yang rendah cenderung menurun dengan kandungan protein pakan yang rendah, hal ini dapat dilihat dari rendahnya konsumsi pakan dan kandungan protein pada pakan P0, sementara tingginya retensi nitrogen pada P1, efisiensi protein pada P2 dan kadar ammonia pada P3 juga dipengaruhi oleh kondisi fisiologis ternak yang berbeda-beda. Pemberian pakan komersial pada ayam pedaging sebaiknya disesuaikan dengan umur dan kebutuhan ayam pedaging. Kandungan nutrisi, palatabilitas pakan dan kesehatan ayam perlu diperhatikan untuk mengoptimalkan efisiensi protein dan retensi nitrogen.

English Abstract

This experiment was to investigate evaluation feeding of several commercial feed on protein efficiency, nitrogen retention, and excreta ammonia content of broiler. This experiment was done during 42 days that divided become preparing and data collection phase. Materials used were 20 broiler loghmann strains where allocated in Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 5 replication. Treatments feed were P1 (P Feed), P2 (M Feed), P3 (C Feed), and P4 (W Feed). Nitrogen retention of P1 89,09, P2 87,10, P3 87,06, and P4 86.51%. Feed efficiency of P1 43,40, P2 45,17, P3 45,88, and P4 42,66%. Excreta ammonia content of P1 3.62, P2 3.62, P3 5.02, and P4 4.08. Value of nitrogen retention and protein efficiency were influenced by feed protein content and feed consumption. Lowest value of excreta ammonia content in T0 was caused by low feed protein content. It could be concluded that value of nitrogen retention, protein efficiency, and excreta ammonia content were caused by feed protein content and feed consumption, this case was revealed on T0 that had low value of feed protein content and feed consumption, meanwhile, highest xvi value of nitrogen retention in T1, protein efficiency in T2, and excreta ammonia content in T3 were also influenced by physiologic condition of each broiler.Conculation lowest value nitrogen retention, efisiensition protein and ammonia which than lowest feed protein content . Suggestion is feeding commercial feed on broiler has be corresponded with age and nutrition requirement of broiler. Feed nutrition content, palatability, and health condition have be regarded to maximaze protein efficiency and nitrogen retention.
