Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 35 hari mulai pada bulan Maret-Mei 2015 di peternakan Desa Bululawang Kabupaten Malang dan Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Ternak Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh suplementasi probiotik Marolis dan Bioeterna dalam air minum terhadap kualitas fisik dan kimia daging ayam pedaging. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian 144 ekor DOC (Day Old Chick) ayam pedaging strain Lohman umur 1 hari yang dipelihara selama 35 hari. Rataan bobot badan DOC 45,78±1,93 g/ekor, vaksinasi diberikan sebanyak 2 kali yaitu vaksin Medivac ND-IB pada umur 4 hari melalui tetes mata dan vaksin ND-Lasota pada umur 21 hari melalui air minum. Data hasil penelitian dicatat dan ditabulasi menggunakan program Excel. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam Rancangan Acak Lengkap, dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan’s Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan suplemen probiotik Marolis dan Bioeterna pada air minum ayam pedaging menunjukkan perbedaan sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap nilai susut masak, tidak berbeda nyata terhadap persentase kadar air, kadar lemak dan kadar protein. Rata-rata nilai susut masak semua perlakuan yaitu P0 (29,82±1,05 b), P1 (25,70±2,15 a) dan P2 (26,58±1,88 a). Rata-rata persentase kadar air semua perlakuan yaitu P0 (74,79±0,85), P1 (74,19±0,72) dan P2 (74,47±1,00). Rata-rata persentase kadar lemak pada semua perlakuan yaitu P0 (2,60±0,73), P1 (2,08±0,30) dan P2 (2,35±0,90) Rata-rata persentase kadar protein pada semua perlakuan yaitu P0 (22,06±1,69), P1 (23,23±1,31) dan P2 (22,56±0,81). vii Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan Penambahan probiotik Marolis pada air minum dapat meningkatkan kualitas fisik daging lebih baik dibandingkan perlakuan penambahan suplemen probiotik Bioeterna dan perlakuan kontrol.

English Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the influence of the addition probiotic Marolis and Bioeterna in the drinking water on the quality of physical and chemical of meat broilers. The research was conducted in March – May 2015 in the Sukri farm was located in Bululawang village Malang and laboratory of animal product technology, University of Brawijaya Malang. The material of this study was 144 birds of DOC (Day Old Chick) females Loghman broiler was rearing for 35 days. The method was used experiment with Complete Randomized Design (CRD) then continued with the Duncans Multiple Range Test with 3 treatments with repetition 6 times, so there were 18 units of the experiment. The treatment given was T0 = drinking water without probiotic (control), T1 = probiotic Marolis plus drinking water 10 ml/litre, T2 = probiotic Bioeterna plus drinking water 10 ml/litre. The results showed that supplementation of probiotic Marolis and Bioterna on drinking water have a highly significant difference (P<0,01) on cooking loss, and no different against real on moisture content. The conclusion of this research, that the probiotics supplementation of Marolis on drinking water may increase the physical quality of broilers meat.
