Abstract

Bumiaji merupakan daerah pertanian yang didominasi oleh tanaman sayuranhampirsepanjangtahun. Akan tetapi dalam pengolaan tanah daerah ini masih belum mengikuti berbagai teknik konservasi yang benar, salah satu contoh upaya pembuatan teras gulud di daerah Bumiaji masih searah dengan kemiringan lereng. Padahal, carapengolahantanahdenganguludansearahlerengdanadanyakemiringan yang curamdancurahhujan yang tinggisangatpotensialmenimbulkanerositerjadidanakanmengurangikemampuanlah anberproduksi. Lubang Resapan Biopori (LRB) adalah teknik konservasi baru yang digunakan dalam bidang pertanian, teknik konservasi ini dibuat untuk mengatasi masalah banjir serta erosi yang terjadi. Adanya lubang biopori dapat membantu meningkatkan laju infiltrasi tanah serta perkolasi tanah sehingga potensi untuk timbul limpasan permukaan dan erosi dapat menurun.PengaplikasianLubangResapanBioporiuntuktujuanpeningkatandayaresap tanah juga dapatdikombinasikandenganpembuatanterasguludsesuaikaidahkonservasisehingga limpasanpermukaandanerosidapatdicegahdanmemperbaikiproduksitanaman. Tujuanpenelitianiniadalah(1) Untukmengetahuiefektivitasarahguludandanlubangresapanbioporidalammengenda likanlimpasanpermukaandanerosi di daerahBumiaji, Batu, (2) Untukmengetahuikandungansimpanan air dariperlakuanarahguludan yang dikombinasikandenganlubangresapanbiopori. Dalampenelitianinidibuat 4 plot erosi yang sejajarpadakemiringandantanah yang samadalamsatulahanbudidaya. G1 = Plot erosidenganperlakuanguludansearahlerengatausebagaikontrol, G2 = Plot erosidenganperlakuanguludansearahkontur, G3 = Plot erosidenganperlakuanguludansearahlerengdenganpembuatanlubangresapanbiopori , G4 = Plot erosidenganperlakuansearahkonturdenganpembuatanlubangresapanbiopori. PengukuranlimpasanpermukaandanerosidilakukanmenggunakanmetodeChinong meter dengan 10 haripengamatankejadianhujan. Hasilpengamatanmenunjukkanpenerapantehnikkoservasitanahberupapengatur anarahlerengdanpengaplikasianlubangresapanbiopori (LRB) mampumenguranginilailimpasanpermukaandanerosi yang ada. Pembuatanarahguludansearahdengankonturdenganpenambahan LRB (G4) paling efektifmengurangijumlahlimpasanpermukaansebesar 83,23% danerosisebesar 71,61% dibandingkandenganperlakuanKonvensional (G1), serta G4 juga memilikipeningkatankadar air yang tertinggidiantaraperlakuanlainnya dan efektif dalam penyimpanan cadangan air.

English Abstract

Bumiaji is an agricultural area dominated by cultivation vegetable crops most of the year. However, in the management of soil this area has not been followed by the right conservation techniques, one of the examples is the efforts of making the ridge terrace in Bumiaji area is still in line in direction of the slope. In fact, the management of soil technique with the ridges unidirection slope and the presence of steep slopes and high rainfall is very potential to cause erosion and will reduce the ability of land to producing. Biopori Infiltration Hole (LRB) is a new conservation technique that is used in agriculture. This conservation technique is made to overcome the problem of flooding and erosion that occur. The presence of biopore holes can help increase the rate of soil infiltration and soil percolation so that the potential of surface runoff and erosion can decrease. Application of Biopore Infiltration Holes for the purpose of increasing soil absorption potency can also be combined with the making of a ridge terrace according to conservation rules so that surface runoff and erosion can be prevented and improve crop production. This research was aimed (1) to determine the effectiveness of seedbed direction and biopore infiltration holes in controlling surface runoff and erosion in the Bumiaji area, Batu, (2) to find out the water storage content of the seedbed direction combined with biopore absorption holes treatment. In this research, it had 4 plots that lined up on the same slope and soil in one cultivation area. G1 = Plot erosion with the ridge unidirectional slope or as a control, G2 = Plot erosion with the ridge unidirectional countur, G3 = Plot erosion with the ridge unidirectional slope and installation of biopore infiltration hole, G4 = Plot erosion with the ridge unidirectional contour and installation of biopore infiltration hole. Measurements of surface runoff and erosion were carried out using the Chinong meter method with 10 days of observation of rain events The results of this research showed that the application of soil conservation techniques in the form of setting the direction of the slope and application of biopore infiltration holes (LRB) could reduce the value of surface runoff and erosion. The treatment with the ridge direction of the contour with the addition of LRB (G4) most effectively reduces the amount of surface runoff by 83.23% and erosion by 71.61% compared to Conventional treatment (G1). G4 treatment also has the highest increase in soil water content among other treatments and could effective in storing water reserves.
