Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Medewi, Kecamatan Jembrana sebagai dataran rendah (5 m di atas permukaan laut) dan pertanian Mupu, Desa Abuan, Kecamatan Bangli sebagai dataran tinggi (680 m ASL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan penambahan berat badan di tanah yang berbeda. Materi penelitian di setiap negeri adalah 120 sapi Bali dengan rata-rata usia 105 hari, 205 hari, dan 365 hari. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimental. Pengukuran berat badan yang dilakukan pada ternak tersedia di kedua lokasi, kemudian untuk mendapatkan keseragaman usia, usia data yang dimandu menggunakan rumus berumur penyapihan yang disesuaikan. Data dianalisis dengan uji-t yang tidak berpasangan. Variabel yang diukur adalah gain seks dan berat badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat badan sapi bali laki-laki berusia 365 hari, lebih tinggi di dataran rendah daripada di dataran tinggi, tetapi pada usia 105 hari, 205 hari dan 365 hari, ketinggian ternak bali jantan tidak mempengaruhi produksi. Sementara betina Bali ternak berusia 105 hari dan 205 hari, ketinggian tidak mempengaruhi kinerja produksi, tetapi berat betina Bali betina berusia 365 hari di dataran tinggi lebih berat daripada di dataran rendah daripada di dataran rendah. Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ternak Bali dapat dipertahankan di dataran rendah dan di dataran tinggi dengan efisiensi produksi yang sama

English Abstract

This research was conducted at the Medewi village, Jembrana Sub-District as lowland (5 m above sea level) and Mupu Farm, Abuan village, Bangli Sub-District as a highland (680 m asl). The purpose of this study was to compare body weight gain in different lands. The research materials in each land were 120 Bali cattle with average of age 105 days, 205 days, and 365 days. The research method used experimental. Body weight measurement conducted on livestock are available at both locations, then in order to obtain uniformity of aged, the age of data standarized using adjusted weaning aged formulas. Data were analyzed by unpaired t-test. The variables measured were sex and body weight gain. The results indicated that the body weight of male Bali cattle aged 365 days, is higher in the lowland than in the highlands, but at the aged of 105 days, 205 days and 365 days male Bali cattle altitude did not affect on performance production. While female Bali cattle aged of 105 days and 205 days, altitude did not affect on performance of production, but the weight of Bali cattle females aged 365 days in the highlands is more heavier than in the lowland. Based on these result it can be concluded that Bali cattle can be maintained in lowland and on the plateau with the same production efficiency
