Abstract
Penelitian dilakukan mulai tanggal 1 September sampai 22 Oktober 2009. Lokasi penelitian adalah di Koperasi SAE Pujon, Malang. Analisis terhadap sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Brawijaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh proteksi wheat pollard dan bungkil kedelai yang diproteksi oleh condensed tannin (CT) terhadap konsumsi, kecernaan dan konsentrasi urea darah sapi perah laktasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara in vivo dengan metode koleksi total. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok sapi perah laktasi yang dibagi berdasarkan bulan laktasi. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P1 = 65 % Hijauan + 35 % konsentrat (kontrol), P2 = 65 % Hijauan + 35 % konsentrat (mengandung 4 % bungkil kedelai terproteksi CT), P3 = 65 % Hijauan + 35 % konsentrat (mengandung 13 % wheat pollard terproteksi CT), P4 = 65 % Hijauan + 35 % konsentrat (mengandung 4 % bungkil kedelai dan 13 % wheat pollard terproteksi CT). Parameter yang diamati adalah konsumsi, kecernaan, konsumsi BK, BO dan PK tercerna dan konsentrasi urea darah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proteksi protein bungkil kedelai dan wheat pollard oleh CT dalam ransum sapi perah laktasi tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan BK, BO dan PK (P>0,05), tetapi memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) pada konsentrasi urea darah. Konsentrasi urea darah perlakuan P1, P2, P3 dan P4 berturut-turut yaitu : 50,975 ± 5,327; 49,475 ± 6,427; 44,800 ± 3,550 dan 41,125 ± 0,699 (mg/100 ml). Perlakuan P4 dengan wheat pollard dan bungkil kedelai terproteksi CT menunjukkan konsentrasi urea terendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah proteksi protein bahan penyusun konsentrat yaitu wheat pollard dan bungkil kedelai dengan CT dapat menurunkan konsentrasi urea darah sapi perah laktasi, tetapi tidak meningkatkan tingkat konsumsi, kecernaan dan konsumsi nutrien tercerna sapi perah laktasi.
English Abstract
The research was carried out at Koperasi SAE Pujon from 1st September 2009 to 22nd Oktober 2009 continue with proximat analysis at Animal Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Faculty, Brawijaya University. The objective of the research was to know the effect of wheat pollard ( Triticum aestivum ) and soybean meal ( Glycine max ) protected with condensed tannin (CT) in lactating dairy cow’s diet on consumption, digestibility and blood urea concentration. This experiment used in vivo method with total collection using Randomized Block Design with 4 groups and 4 CT treatments. The treatments were P1 = 65% forages + 35% concentrate (control), P2 = 65% forages + 35% concentrate (containing cow’s diet 4% soybean meal protected by CT), P3 = 65% forages + 35% concentrate (containing cow’s diet 13% wheat pollard protected with CT), and P4 = 65% forages + 35% concentrated (containing cow’s diet of 4% soybean meal and 13% wheat pollard protected with CT). The variables observed were consumption and digestibility of organic matter and blood urea concentration. The result of this research showed that protecting protein of soybean meal and wheat pollard with CT did not give effect on consumption and digestibility (P>0.05), but significantly decrease on blood urea concentration (P>0,05). Blood urea concentration of treatments P1, P2, P3, P4 were 50.975 ± 5.327; 49.475 ± 6.427; 44.800 ± 3.550 and 41.125 ± 0.699 mg/100 ml. It was concluded protection of soybean meal and or wheat pollard protein with CT decreased blood urea concentration but did not affect feed intake and digestibility.
