Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Besar Pelatihan Peternakan (BBPP) Batu mulai September sampai dengan Desember 2007. Analisis kandungan nutrisi pakan dilaksanakan di 1). Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Brawijaya Malang, 2). Laboratorium Nutrisi BBPP Batu dan 3). Laboratorium Nutrisi Loka Penelitian Sapi Potong Grati. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat penggunaan silase isi rumen sebagai pengganti jerami jagung terhadap penampilan produksi sapi perah PFH. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sapi perah PFH 16 ekor dengan bobot badan rata-rata 395-475 kg. Pakan yang diberikan berupa jerami jagung ( Zea mays ), silase isi rumen dan konsentrat. Metode penelitian adalah percobaan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yaitu R 1= 60% jerami jagung + 40% konsentrat, R2= 40% jerami jagung + 20% silase isi rumen + 40% konsentrat, R3= 20% jerami jagung + 40% silase isi rumen + 40% konsentrat, R4= 60% silase isi rumen + 40% konsentrat. Data dianalisis dengan analisis peragam dan analisis ragam, apabila terdapat perbedaan diantara perlakuan maka dilanjutkan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Variabel yang diamati kandungan nutrisi pakan, konsumsi bahan kering (KBK), konsumsi bahan organik (KBO), konsumsi protein kasar (KPK), produksi susu dan PBB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diantara perlakuan menunjukkan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap KPK, produksi susu, PBB dan menunjukkan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap KBK,KBO. Nilai KBK, KBO, KPK tertinggi pada perlakuan R1 yaitu 171,04 g/kg BB 0,75/hr, 134,78 g/kg BB0,75/hr, 19,33 g/kg BB0,75/hr sedangkan terendah pada perlakuan R2 yaitu 126,44 g/kg BB0,75/hr, 98,70 g/kg BB0,75/hr, 14,57 g/kg BB0,75/hr. Nilai produksi susu dan PBB tertinggi pada perlakuan R4 sedangkan terendah pada perlakuan R2. Disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan yang terbaik adalah pakan perlakuan R4 dengan proporsi yang terdiri dari 60% silase isi rumen dan 40% konsentrat. Dapat disarankan bahwa silase isi rumen dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti hijauan dalam pakan.

English Abstract

The research was carried out at the Balai Besar Pelatihan Peternakan (BBPP) Batu, Malang from September to December 2007. Analysis of nutrient contents of feed carried out at 1). The Animal Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Faculty, Brawijaya University, Malang, 2). The Nutrition Laboratory of BBPP Songgoriti, Batu and 3). The Nutrition Laboratory of Beef Cattle Research Institute Grati, Pasuruan. The aim of this research were to know the effect of rumen content silage substitution of corn straw on performance of lactating dairy crossbreed Fries Holland cow. The materials used in this research were 16 dairy crossbreed Fries Holland cow with average body weight 395-475 kg. The feeds given were corn straw ( Zea mays ), rumen content silage and concentrate. The experimental design used was randomized block design using 4 treatments and 4 replications, R 1= 60% corn straw + 40% concentrate, R2= 40% corn straw + 20% rumen content silage + 40% concentrate, R3= 20% corn straw + 40% rumen content silage + 40% concentrate, R4= 60% rumen content silage + 40% concentrate. Data obtained were analyzed using covariance and variance analysis and if it was found difference between the treatments then followed by least significant difference test. The parameters observed were nutrient contents of feeds, dry matter intake (DMI), organic matter intake (OMI), crude protein intake (CPI), milk production and average daily gain (AVG). The result of the research showed that all treatments have no effects (P>0.05) on CPI, milk production, average body gain and it have effect (P<0.05) on DMI and OMI. Treatment R1 having highest DMI, OMI and CPI were 171.04 g/kgBB 075/day, 134.78 g/kg BB0,75/day, 19.33 g/kgBB0,75/day respectively. However treatment R2 having lowest DMI, OMI and CPI were 126.44 g/kg BB0,75/day, 98.70 g/kg BB0,75/day, 14.57 g/kg BB0,75/day respectivily. The highest value of milk production and average daily gain was R4 treatment while the lowest was the R2 treatment. It was concluded that the best treatment was R4 with proportion by 60% of rumen content silage and 40% concentrate. It could be suggested that the rumen content silage can be applied as the substitution of forage in feed.
