Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-compassion dan body image pada wanita obesitas di kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 314 responden yang merupakan wanita obesitas (Indeks Massa Tubuh ≥25 kg/m²) di kota Malang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala self-compassion yang disusun oleh peneliti dan skala body image yakni The Multidimensional Body-Self Relation Questionnaire (MBSRQ). Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik perhitungan Product Moment Pearson. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,408 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (p < 0,05) yang berarti semakin tinggi self-compassion maka semakin tinggi pula body image. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima.
English Abstract
The aim of this research was to know the relation between self-compassion and body image in obese woman in Malang. The research design was a quantitative method with correlational type. The respondents for this research were 314 obesed woman (Body Mass Index ≥ 25 kg/m²) in Malang. The instrument that used in this research was self-compassion scale that constucted by researcher and MBSRQ (Multidimensional Body-Self Relation Questionnaire). The data analysis that used in this research was Product Moment Pearson correlation analysis. The results of this research found that the variables obtain a positive and significant correlation with correlation value 0,408 and significant value of 0,000 (sig < 0,05), which means the higher the self-compassion, the higher the body image. Based on this result, researchers proposed hypothesis can be accepted.
