Abstract

Salvia (Salvia splendens) di Indonesia banyak digunakan sebagai hiasan lanskap taman. Perawatan yang kurang intensif dapat menurunkan penampilan bunga salvia, hal itu dikarenakan bunga yang telah mengering tidak dapat gugur. Pemangkasan bunga tua dapat menjadi alternatif untuk menjaga performa dan meningkatkan jumlah tandan bunga. Penggunaan Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) dapat menjadi alternatif stimulator pertumbuhan tanaman yang secara langsung dapat merangsang pertumbuhan tanaman. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Juli 2016. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Merjosari, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian antara lain: cangkul, polybag ukuran 25x20 cm, gembor, ajir, gelas ukur, meteran, penggaris, alat tulis, camera, dan papan percobaan. Sedangkan bahan yang digunnakan adalah Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteri (PGPR), bibit salvia, air, dan pupuk kandang kambing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan faktorial. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji F, perlakuan yang berpengaruh nyata pada uji F 5% kemudian diuji lanjut dengan BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian terdapat interaksi yang nyata pada parameter jumlah cabang, luas daun dan jumlah tandan bunga akibat kombinasi perlakuan PGPR dengan pemangkasan bunga pada tanaman salvia. Pemberian PGPR juga menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan jumlah daun, jumlah bunga jumlah akar, panjang akar, berat kering akar, serta berat kering tanaman. Sedangkan pada perlakuan pemangkasan bunga menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata pada parameter jumlah daun dan berat kering tanaman. Jumlah cabang tanaman yang diberi perlakuan pemangkasan dan PGPR dengan dosis 60 ml tan-1 dapat meningkat sebesar 44%. Jumlah daun tanaman yang diberi perlakuan PGPR dengan dosis 60 ml tan-1 dapat meningkat sebesar 20%. Luas daun tanaman yang diberi perlakuan pemangkasan dan PGPR 45 dan 60 ml tan-1 dapat meningkat sebesar 30% dan 40 %. Pemberian dosis 60 ml tan-1 dapat meningkatkan jumlah akar, panjang akar serta berat kering akar tanaman masing-masing sebesar 29%, 22% serta 36%. Berat kering total pada tanaman yang diberi PGPR 15-60 ml tan-1 lebih tinggi 6-22% dibanding dengan tanpa PGPR. Pemberian PGPR dengan dosis 45 dan 60 ml tan-¹ dapat meningkatkan jumlah tandan bunga tan-1 sebesar 58 dan 76% dibandingkan dengan tanpa PGPR. Pemangkasan dapat meningkatkan jumlah tandan bunga tan-1 sebesar 33% dibanding dengan tanpa pemangkasan.

English Abstract

Salvia (Salvia splendens) in Indonesia is widely used as decorative garden landscape. Less intensive treatment can reduce the appearance of salvia flowers, it is because the flowers that have dried can not fall. Pruning old flowers can be an alternative for keeping salvia plants and the number of flower planting. The use of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) can be an alternative plant growth stimulator the absorption of nutrients from the environment. The research activities was carried out in March-July 2016. The research was conducted in the village of Merjosari, Lowokwaru District, Malang, East Java. The tools used in the study includes: a hoe, polybag size 25x20 cm, yells, marker, measuring cups, tape measure, ruler, stationery, camera, and a trial board. While the material used is Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteri (PGPR), seeds salvia, water and manure. The method used was Randomized Block Design (RAK) with factorial. Methods of data analysis was done using the F test to determine the effect of each treatment, the treatment significantly at 5% F test were then tested further by BTN at 5% level to determine differences. The results of the study were significant interaction on parameter of branch number, leaf area and the number of flower crop due to a treatment combination of PGPR 45 ml tan-¹ with pruning flowers on the plant salvia. Giving PGPR also showed a significant effect on the increase in the number of leaves, the amount of flowes, the number of roots, root length, dry weight of roots and dry weight of plants. While on pruning flowers treatment showed a marked influence on the parameters of the number of leaves and dry weight of plants. Number of branches by pruning and PGPR treatment at a dose of 60 ml plant-1 can be increased by 44%. The number of leaves treated with a dose of 60 ml plant-1 can be increased by 20%. Leave area treated trimming and PGPR 45 and 60 ml plant-1 can be increased by 30% and 40%. Giving a dose of 60 ml plant-1 can increase the number of roots, root length and root dry weight of each plant by 29%, 22% and 36%. The total dry weight of the plants treated with PGPR 15-60 ml plant-¹ is higher than the 6-22% without PGPR. Giving PGPR with a dose of 45 and 60 ml plant-¹ can increase the number of flowers plant-¹ by 58 and 76% compared with without PGPR. Pruning can increase the number of flowers plant-¹ by 33% compared with without pruning.
