FindaSitiQurrotaAkyun (2016) Pengaruh Limbah Kulit Buah Kopi Sebagai Pupuk Organik Terhadap Ketersediaan dan Serapan P Serta Produksi Tanaman Kangkung Darat (Ipomoea reptans. Poir) Pada Inceptisol. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
The use of organic wastes in factories is very helpful in cultivating water spinach. The coffee wastes is the source of organic substances which have the potentials of managed. The wastes of coffee peels load the contents of organic substances and nutrients which are possible to restore the substance of soil. Phosphor (P) is one of elements needed in a big amount (macro nutrients) during photosynthesis. The availability of phosphor within soil is determined by several factors, but the most important one is pH of the soil. The purpose of this research is to find the effect of applying the wastes of coffee peels as organic fertilizer towards the absorption of P and to know the growth and production of ground water spinach (Ipomoea reptans. Poir). This research was done in the Greenhouse of UNITRI and Soil Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University, in March-May 2016. The observation variables covered the P-available, P absorption, organic C, pH and the product of water spinach in the form of dry weight plant. This research uses Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions, so that 24 combinations of treatment were acquired. The treatments consist of control (D0), 25% compost (D1), 50% compost (D2), 75% compost (D3), 100% compost (D4), 125% compost (D5). The data was tested by using varians analysis. The research result showed that giving the wastes of coffee peels obviously did not affect the availability and absorption of Phosphor on each treatment. The highest availability was generated on the treatment D0, D1, D4, D2, D5, and D3 that was 6.86; 5.59; 5.27; 5.14; 4.38 and 3.36 mg kg-1. Similarly, P absorption on water spinach did not give tangible effects. Applying the wastes of coffee peels did not give tangible effect towards the other treatment, such as organic C, pH, vegetative phase and plants production. Meanwhile, the application of coffee peels wastes on soil could increase pH and organic C compared to the condition before applying the wastes of coffee peels.
