Abstract
Tembakau temanggung merupakan salah satu tembakau rakyat yang memiliki sifat khusus dan berasal dari Kabupaten Temanggung, Provinsi Jawa Tengah (Yulianti, 2009). Menurut Murdiyati et al. (1991), kesuburan lahan untuk tembakau di Temanggung adalah sangat rendah sampai rendah, hal ini nantinya akan berpengaruh terhadap produksi maupun mutu dari tembakau. Soemarno (2014), menyebutkan bahwa kesuburan suatu lahan salah satunya ditandai dengan kadar bahan organik dalam tanah. Peranan bahan organik tanah terhadap kesuburan tanah adalah dalam perbaikan sifat fisik, kimia dan biologi, namun pengaruh dari bahan organik tanah terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tembakau adalah tidak langsung (Djumali, 2008). Kadar bahan organik tanah di Temanggung mengalami penurunan yang drastis karena pengolahan tanah berlebihan dan erosi tanah (Djajadi, 2000). Sampai saat ini informasi tentang ketersediaan bahan organik tanah dan hubungannya terhadap sifat fisika tanah, kimia tanah, produksi dan mutu tembakau di sentra produksi tembakau temanggung masih sedikit sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian. Tujuan Penelitian: 1) Mengetahui kandungan bahan organik tanah dan hubungannya terhadap sifat fisika tanah (berat isi tanah) serta kimia tanah (C-organik, KTK, N, P, K, Ca, Mg dan pH tanah) di sentra produksi tembakau temanggung, 2) Mengetahui hubungan kadar bahan organik tanah terhadap produksi dan mutu tembakau di sentra produksi tembakau temanggung. Hipotesis: 1) Bahan organik tanah berpengaruh terhadap sifat fisika tanah (berat isi tanah) serta ketersediaan C-organik dalam tanah, 2) Kadar bahan organik dalam tanah berpengaruh terhadap produksi dan mutu tembakau. Penelitian menggunakan teknik survei fisiografi di perkebunan tembakau rakyat lereng Gunung Sumbing dan Sindoro Kabupaten Temanggung. Pelaksanaan penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu: 1) Kegiatan survei lapang pengambilan sampel tanah pada kedalaman 0-30 cm untuk analis laboratorium kimia dan fisika (Juni 2015), 2) Survei lapang untuk mengetahui sebaran jenis/ varietas tembakau 3) Pengamatan produksi dan mutu tembakau serta pengambilan data pengamatan produksi dan mutu (Agustus-Oktober 2015). Jumlah pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian adalah 32 titik. Lokasi pengambilan titik berdasarkan posisi lereng yang dipilih yaitu punggung, lereng dan lembah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan organik tanah di lokasi pertanaman tembakau temanggung masuk dalam kriteria sedang 2,48 %. Bahan organik tanah berkorelasi positif dengan N (r=0,38), K (r=0,08), Mg (0,05), KTK (r=0,20), C-organik (r=0,59) dan berkorelasi negatif dengan P (r=-0,29), Na (r=-0,31), Ca (r=-0,35) dan pH (r=-0,13). Bahan organik tanah berkorelasi lemah terhadap K, Mg, Na dan Ca. Kadar bahan organik dalam tanah tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi dan mutu tembakau temanggung. Produksi dan mutu tembakau temanggung diperkirakan dipengaruhi oleh teknik budidaya petani seperti pemupukan, pemeliharaan dan lain-lain.
English Abstract
Temanggung tobacco is one of the people's tobacco that has special properties and comes from Temanggung Regency, Central Java Province (Yulianti, 2009). According to Murdiyati et al. (1991), soil fertility for tobacco in Temanggung is very low to low, this will affect the production and quality of tobacco. Soemarno (2014), states that the fertility of a single land is marked by the level of organic matter in the soil. The role of soil organic matter against soil fertility is in the improvement of physical, chemical and biological properties, but the effect of soil organic matter on tobacco growth and production is indirect (Djumali, 2008). The level of soil organic matter in Temanggung has decreased drastically due to excessive soil processing and soil erosion (Djajadi, 2000). Until now information on the availability of soil organic matter and its relation to soil physical properties, soil chemistry, production and quality of tobacco in tobacco production center is still small so it is necessary to do research. Research Objectives: 1) Knowing the soil organic matter content and its relationship to the physical properties of soil (soil weight) and soil chemistry (C-organic, CEC, N, P, K, Ca, Mg and soil pH) in the centers of temanggung tobacco production, 2) To know the relationship between soil organic matter content on tobacco production and quality in temanggung tobacco production center. Hypothesis: 1) Soil organic matter affects the physical properties of soil (soil weight) and the availability of C-organic in the soil , 2) The level of organic matter in the soil affect the production and quality of tobacco. The research used the physiographic survey technique in the tobacco plantation of the people of Slopes of Mount Sumbing and Sindoro of Temanggung Regency. The research implementation is divided into three: 1) Field survey activity in the field of land 0-30 cm for laboratory analysts of chemistry and physics (June 2015), 2) Field survey to know the distribution of tobacco types / varieties 3) Observation of tobacco production and quality as well as collection of production and quality observation data (August-October 2015). The number of samples in the study was 32 points. Location of point taking based on the position of the selected slope of the back, slopes and valleys. The results showed that the soil organic matter at the tobacco cultivation area was 2.48%. Soil organic matter was positively correlated with N (r = 0.38), K (r = 0.08), Mg (0.05), CEC (r = 0.20), C-organic (r = 059) and correlated (r = -0.31), Ca (r = -0.35) and pH (r = -0.13). Soil organic matter weakly correlates with K, Mg, Na and Ca. The level of organic matter in the soil does not affect the production and quality of temanggung tobacco. The production and quality of temanggung tobacco is estimated to be influenced by farmers' cultivation techniques such as fertilization, maintenance and others.
