Abstract
Penyuluhan pertanian merupakan suatu sistem pendidikan nonformal untuk para petani dengan tujuan agar mereka tahu, mau, dan mampu dalam menerapkan suatu inovasi. Tanggung jawab untuk membawa perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik di bidang pertanian juga terletak pada para penyuluh lapang. Pabrik gula Krebet Baru melalui penyuluh lapang pabrik gula dalam menyampaikan inovasi serta kebijakan-kebijakan yang harus diterima dan dilaksanakan oleh petani juga melalui kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian. Peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula yaitu penyuluhan serta bimbingan kepada petani agar menanam tebu sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan sehingga dapat menghasilkan tebu dengan rendemen yang tinggi. Adanya peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula Krebet Baru, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan respon petani yang dilihat dari perilaku petani sehingga petani dapat menerapkan budidaya tebu yang baik, serta mendorong petani agar petani tahu, mau, dan mampu dalam menerapkan usahatani yang sesuai dengan budidaya yang telah direkomendasikan oleh penyuluh lapang pabrik gula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan penyuluhan pertanian pabrik gula Krebet Baru dalam pembinaan kelompok tani Dewi Sri, menganalisis peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula dalam membina kelompok tani Dewi Sri, menganalisis respon petani terhadap penyuluhan pertanian dari pabrik gula Krebet Baru, serta menganalisis hubungan antara peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula Krebet Baru dengan respon petani terhadap penyuluhan pertanian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sukonolo yang ditentukan secara purposive. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan metode sensus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskripsi kuantitatif dan analisis korelasi rank spearman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pelaksanaan penyuluhan pertanian yang dilakukan oleh penyuluh lapang pabrik gula tergolong baik dengan skor yang diperoleh yaitu 40,78 dari total skor 42 atau 97,9 persen. (2) Peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula meliputi peran sebagai koordinator, motivator, edukator, sumber informasi dan agen penghubung, teknisi, dan organisator. Peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula termasuk kategori tinggi dengan skor yang diperoleh yaitu 61,05 atau 96,90% dari jumlah skor maksimal 63. Peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai koordinator menunjukkan skor rata-rata 5,52 atau 92%, peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai motivator menunjukkan skor rata-rata 5,89 atau 98,16%, peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai edukator menunjukkan skor rata-rata 20,52 atau 97,71%, peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai sumber informasi dan agen penghubung menunjukkan skor rata-rata 11,63 atau 96,91%, peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai teknisi menunjukkan skor rata-rata 8,78 atau 97,55%, serta peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai organisator menunjukkan skor rata-rata 8,73 atau 97,07%. Hal ini menunjukkan ii bahwa penyuluh lapang pabrik gula memiliki kemapuan dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada petani. (3) Respon petani terhadap penyuluhan pertanian dapat dilihat dari perubahan perilaku berdasarkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan petani. Respon petani terhadap penyuluhan pertanian termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan skor yang diperoleh yaitu 59 atau 93,65%. Respon petani pada indikator kognitif (pengetahuan) diperoleh skor sebesar 20,26 atau 96,47%, Respon petani pada indikator sikap diperoleh skor sebesar 19,63 atau 93,47%, Respon petani pada indikator keterampilan diperoleh skor sebesar 19,10 atau 90,95%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tingginya respon petani terhadap penyuluhan pertanian memberikan tanggapan yang baik pada budidaya tebu yang baik, benar, dan tepat. (4) Terdapat hubungan positif dan kuat antara peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula Krebet Baru dengan respon petani terhadap penyuluhan pertanian. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi Rank Spearman diketahui bahwa nilai rs sebesar 0,791 dan sebesar 0,388 (α = 0,05) pada pengujian dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 19 orang. Jumlah > yaitu 0,791 > 0,388 maka Ha diterima. Semakin tinggi peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula Krebet Baru, maka semakin tinggi juga respon petani. Penyuluh lapang pabrik gula Krebet Baru yang mampu memaksimalkan peranannya, maka akan berpengaruh pada tingginya respon petani. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, maka saran yang dapat diajukan yaitu Penyuluhan pertanian yang dilakukan oleh penyuluh lapang Pabrik gula Krebet Baru harus terus dipertahankan dengan melakukan perbaikan terus menerus agar dapat memberikan bimbingan serta informasi mengenai budidaya tebu yang baik, benar dan tepat pada lahan budidaya petani sehingga nantinya juga akan dapat meningkatkan respon petani. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, dapat memperdalam penelitian dengan menambah variabel peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula yang lainnya, selain peran penyuluh lapang pabrik gula sebagai koordinator, motivator, edukator, sumber informasi dan agen penghubung, teknisi serta organisator.
English Abstract
Agricultural extension is a non-formal education system for farmers in order to make them know, desire, and able to implement an innovation. The responsibility of bringing better change in agriculture also lies in the Agricultural Extension Worker. Krebet Baru sugar factory through Agricultural Extension Worker convey some inovations and policies that must be accepted and immplemented by farmers through agricultural extension activities. The role of Agricultural Extension Worker from sugar factories, namely counseling and guidance to farmers in order to grow sugar cane in accordance with the standards which is established so that it produce a high yield of sugar cane. The role of Agricultural Extension Worker from Krebet Baru sugar factories is expected to increase the farmers response which are seen from the behavior of farmers so that farmers can apply the cultivation of sugar cane, as well as encourage farmers to know, desire, and able to implement farming in accordance with the cultivation of which has been recommended by Agricultural Extension Worker. Research purposes in this research is to analyze the implementation of agricultural extension from Krebet Baru sugar factory in Dewi Sri farmers group, analyze the role of Agricultural Extension Worker from sugar factory in the coaching of Dewi Sri farmer groups, analyze the response of farmers against agricultural extension from the Krebet Baru sugar factory, and analyze the relationship between the role of Agricultural Extension Worker from Krebet Baru sugar factory with the farmer response about agricultural extension. This research was conducted at the Sukonolo determined purposively. Determination of the respondents using the census method. The methods of data collection are using interviews, observation, documentation and literature studies. Data analysis methods are used, namely quantitative methods using quantitative descriptive analysis and spearman rank correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) the execution of counseling which was done by Agricultural Extension Worker from sugar factories is belong to well with the score obtained 40.78 out of a total score 42 or 97.9%. (2) the role of Agricultural Extension Worker sugar factory includes a role as a coordinator, motivator, educator, information sources and connection agent, technicians, and organizers. The role of Agricultural Extension Worker sugar factories is included high categories with score obtained 61.05 or 96.90% of the total maximum score, 63. The role of Agricultural Extension Worker sugar factory as Coordinator showed the average score 5.52 or 92%, as a motivational speaker showed an average score of 5.89 or 98,16%, as educator showed an average score of 20.52 or 97,71%, as a source of information and connection agent showed an average score of 96,91 or 11.63%, as a technician showed an average score of 8.78 or 97.55% , as well as the role of Agricultural Extension Worker sugar factory as the organizer of the shows the average score 8.73 or 97,07%. This indicates that the sugar factory has iv the Agricultural Extension Worker who are making every effort in providing extension services to farmers. (3) the farmers response about agricultural extension can be seen from the change in their behavior based on knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The response of farmers about agricultural extension was included in the high category and the score is 59 of the total maximum score of 93,65%. The farmers response on the indicators of cognitive (knowledge) obtained a score of 20.26 or 96,47%, the farmers response on the attitude indicator obtained a score of 19.63 or 93,47%, the farmers response on the skills acquired indicator score of 19.10 or 90,95%. This suggests that the high response farmers about agricultural extension gives a good response on the cultivation of the sugar cane that is good, true, and correct. (4) there is positive and strong a relationship between the role of Agricultural Extension Worker from Krebet Baru sugar factory with farmer response about agricultural extension. Based on the analysis of the correlation of Rank Spearman noted that the value of rs 0.791 and sebesar 0,388 (α = 0,05) on testing with a number of respondents as many as 19 people. > 0,791 > 0,388 Ha then accepted. The higher the role of Agricultural Extension Worker from Krebet Baru sugar factory, then the higher is also the response of farmers. Agricultural Extension Worker from Krebet Baru sugar factory who are able to maximize their role will affect the high response of the farmers. Based on that research result above, suggestion in this result is agricultural extension which is conducted by Agricultural Extension Worker from Krebet Baru sugar factory should continue to be maintained by performing continuous improvements in order to provide guidance and information about the cultivation of the sugar cane that is good, true and right on land cultivation of farmers so that later will be able to improve the farmers response. For further research, could deepen the study by adding variables the role agricultural extension worker, in addition to the role of the agricultural extension worker coordinator, motivator, educator, information sources and connection agent, technicians and organizers.
