Abstract
Phyllotreta spp. dilaporkan sebagai bagian dari “flea beetles” yang memiliki nilai ekonomi paling penting untuk tanaman sayuran termasuk crucifera. Keberadaan hama ini dapat menyebabkan kerusakan mencapai 71,4% pada bagian daun tanaman sayuran, sehingga mengurangi nilai ekonomis bidang usaha agribisnis. Terdapat banyak jenis Phyllotreta yang menyerang pada tanaman sayuran antara lain P. cruciferae Goeze., P. vittula Redtb., P. undulata Kutsch., P. nigripes Fabr., P. nodicornis Marsh., P. balcanica Heikert., P. atra Fabr., P. procera Redtb., P. ochripes Curt., dan P. diademata Foudb. Sedikitnya informasi terkait dengan Phyllotreta spp. di Indonesia, memerlukan penelitian pendahuluan untuk melihat ragam Phyllotreta spp. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis Phyllotreta yang ada pada pertanaman sayuran di Trawas, Mojokerto berdasarkan karakter morfologi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Trawas, Mojokerto dan Laboratorium Hama Tumbuhan, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. Penelitian berlangsung dari bulan Mei 2013 sampai Juni 2013. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi morfologi ini diketahui bahwa terdapat empat jenis Phyllotreta. Jenis-jenis Phyllotreta yang ditemukan adalah Phyllotreta striolata, P. chotanica, dan dua jenis yang lain belum teridentifikasi (Phyllotreta A, dan Phyllotreta B). Phyllotreta striolata ditemukan pada tanaman Brassica juncea, Brassica rapa convar. pekinensis, Brassica chinensis dan Brassica rapa convar. parachinensis. Phyllotreta chotanica ditemukan pada tanaman Brassica rapa convar. pekinensis dan Brassica rapa convar. parachinensis. Phyllotreta A ditemukan pada tanaman Brassica rapa convar. pekinensis, Amaranthus spinosus, Amaranthus tricolor, Beta vulgaris L., Spinacia oleracea L. dan Brassica chinensis. Phyllotreta B ditemukan hanya pada tanaman Solanum melongena.
English Abstract
Phyllotreta spp. were belonged to flea beetles and reported as the most economic important on vegetable`s crops such as crucifera. 71.4% of damage on leaf can be produced by Phyllotreta spp. in vegetables. Phyllotreta cruciferae Goeze., P. vittula Redtb., P. undulata Kutsch., P. nigripes Fabr., P. nodicornis Marsh., P. balcanica Heikert., P. atra Fabr., P. procera Redtb., P. ochripes Curt., dan P. diademata Foudb. were commonly species those attack on vegetable`s crops. In Indonesia, there were few reports related to diversity of Phyllotreta spp., and the preliminary study was needed to describe Phyllotreta spp. Research was aimed to identify Phyllotreta spp. on vegetable`s crops in Trawas, Mojokerto based on morphological characters. The research was conducted in Trawas, Mojokerto, and Plant Pest Laboratory, Plant Pests and Disease Department, Agricultural Faculty, Brawijaya University, Malang from may to June 2013. Result showed that four species of Phyllotreta spp. were found on vegetable`s crops. Two species were identified as P. striolata and P. chotanica. Two remaining species were unknown and labeled as Phyllotreta A and Phyllotreta B. Phyllotreta striolata attacked on leaves of Brassica juncea, B. rapa convar. pekinensis, B. chinensis and B. rapa convar. parachinensis. Phyllotreta chotanica attacked on leaves of B. rapa convar. pekinensis and B. rapa convar. parachinensis. Phyllotreta A attacked on leaves on B. rapa convar. pekinensis, Amaranthus spinosus, A. tricolor, Beta vulgaris L., Spinach oleracea L. and B. chinensis. Phyllotreta B attacked only on leaves of Solanum melongena.
