Abstract
Kedelai merupakan komoditas pangan yang utama di Indonesiasetelah padi dan jagung.Kandungan protein nabati yang tinggi dan harga yangcukup terjangkau oleh semua lapisan masyarakat merupakan beberapa alasan logispenggunaan kedelai sebagai bahan pangan.Sejalan dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk, kebutuhan kedelai terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Di sisi lain, produksi kedelai di dalam negeri memiliki tren yang menurun setiap tahun. Adanya kesenjangan antara jumlah permintaan dan penawaran kedelai di dalam negeri, selama ini dipenuhi dengan pemberlakuan impor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan produksi, konsumsi dan impor kedelai selama periode 1990-2009, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi volume impor kedelai dan mengetahui seberapa besar elastisitas impor dari faktor yang berpengaruh. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data skunder tahunan dari tahun 1990-2009.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan model persamaan simultan (2SLS).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan produksi kedelai di Indonesia selama periode 1990-2009 cenderung mengalami penurunan setiap tahunnya.Hal tersebut sejalan dengan perkembangan luas areal tanam kedelai yang cenderung mengalami penurunan pula setiap tahunnya.Berbeda dengan konsumsi dan impor yang cenderung mengalami kenaikan setiap tahunnya.Dari hasil analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi volume impor terdapat tiga faktor yang mempengaruhi volume impor kedelai di Indonesia, yaitu jumlah produksi kedelai, permintaan (konsumsi) kedelai, dan harga kedelai dunia. Namun harga kedelai dunia secara statistik tidak berpengaruh nyata pada toleransi eror sebesar 20 persen. Dari hasil perhitungan elastisitas impor,terlihat bahwa variabel jumlah produksi maupun jumlah permintaan (konsumsi) sangat responsif terhadap volume impor kedelai
English Abstract
Soybean is the main food commodities in Indonesia after rice and maize.Vegetable which high protein content and quite affordable prices by all levels of society is a logical reason for the use of soy as a food ingredient. In line with the increase of population, soybean demand continues to increase from year to year On the other hand, soybean production in the country has declined each year trend. The gap between the demand and supply of soybeans in the country, has been filled with the impositionof import.This study aims to determine the development of production, consumption and imports of soybeans during the period 1990-2009, analyzing the factors that affect the volume of imports of soybean and find out how much the import elasticity of influential factors. The data used in this study is a secondary data annually from 1990-2009. This study uses descriptive analysis and simultaneous equation model (2SLS). The results showed that the development of soybean production in Indonesia during the period 1990-2009 tended to decrease each year. This is in line with the development of soybean planting area also tends to decrease each year. In contrast to consumption and imports are likely to increase each year. From the analysis of the factors that affect the volume of imports, there are three factors that affect the volume of imports of soybean in Indonesia, namely the amount of soybean production, demand (consumption) soybean, and world soybean prices. While the world price of soybean was not statistically significant effect on tolerance error 20 percent. From the results of import elasticity calculations, it appears that the variable amount of production and the amount of demand (consumption) is very responsive to the volume of soybean imports.
