Kusumawati, MiraWahyu (2017) Hubungan Tingkat Activity Of Daily Living (ADL) Dengan Kejadian Depresi Pada Pasien Stroke Di Rumah Sakit Tk. II Dr. Soepraoen Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Stroke is as Cerebrovascular desease that suddenly happens and causes neurology defect. Stroke sufferer is very susceptible to the depression caused by the occurrence of physiological function change. The research is aimed to know the relationship of levels Activity of Daily Living (ADL) with the depression occurrence at stroke patient in the second level of dr Soepraoen Hospital Malang. The research design used is Cross Sectional. The selected sample in the technique of Nonprobability Sampling uses the Purposive Sampling Method, obtained 82 respondents. The used instruments are questionnaire paper of depression. Based on the Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI II) and result of the research obtained is stroke patient who has the ability of own ADL amount to 14,6% , the light dependence 15,9%, the medium dependence 54,9% , the heavy dependence 14, 6% . The depression dependence at stroke patient amounts to 34,2 % , light depression 37,7% Medium and 13,4% Spearman rho in the level of meaning α < 0,005 . The statistical test result shows that the value of positive correlative coefficient (0,798) in the value of p=0,000< α <0,05. It means that H0 is rejected and H1 accepted so there is the correlation between the level’s Activity of Daily Living (ADL) on the depression occurrence at stroke patient in the second level of dr. Soepraoen Hospital Malang. The technique of the result is the higher level of dependence, the heavier depression the stroke patient experiences. Based on the result of the research, It is suggested to the Nurses to give education for the patients and family concerning with ADL that can disturb in the stoke so it can be minimized the depression occurrence.
