Abstract
Kebersihan genitalia eksterna merupakan bagian penting untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi kehamilan. Di Indonesia, 75% kejadian infeksi genitalia disebabkan oleh perilaku hygiene yang buruk. Infeksi genitalia menyebabkan persalinan prematur, ketuban pecah dini, dan kematian neonatus. Meskipun telah diberikan penyuluhan dengan pendekatan berbasis visual, 60,9% ibu hamil masih memiliki perilaku hygiene genitalia yang buruk. Penggunaan media audio-visual diharapkan dapat meningkatkan perilaku hygiene genitalia ibu hamil yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio-visual terhadap perilaku hygiene genitalia pada ibu hamil. Studi quasy eksperimental menggunakan desain nonrandomized pretestposttest control group design dan dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi dengan media audio-visual dan leaflet (n=10) serta kelompok kontrol dengan media leaflet (n=10). Sampel dipilih dengan metode accidental sampling dan pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan rata-rata skor perilaku hygiene genitalia eksterna sesudah diberikan penyuluhan pada kelompok intervensi sebesar 4.0 (uji paired t test, pvalue= 0.000). Pada kelompok kontrol, peningkatan rata-rata skor perilaku hygiene genitalia eksterna sesudah diberikan penyuluhan sebesar 1.6 (uji paired t test, p-value=0.005). Hasil uji Unpaired t Test pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol menunjukkan p-value sebesar 1.000 (p-value>0.05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan perilaku hygiene genitalia eksterna ibu hamil pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Penggunaan media audio-visual dan leaflet sama-sama memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan perilaku hygiene genitalia eksterna pada ibu hamil. Disarankan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk menambah penggunaan media penyuluhan berupa alat peraga agar dapat mengukur perilaku hygiene ibu hamil dengan lebih obyektif.
English Abstract
External genital hygiene is an important part to prevent the occurance of infectious pregnancy. In Indonesia, 75% of genital infection occurance is caused by poor hygiene behaviour. Genital infections causes premature labor, premature rupture of membranes, and neonatal death. Although health education has been given based on visual approaches, 60,9% of pregnant women still have a poor genital hygiene behaviour. The usage of audio-visual media is expectable to improve genital hygiene behaviour of pregnant women better. This research is aimed to determine the effect of audio-visual media usage toward genital hygiene behaviour to pregnant women. Quasy experimental studies using nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design and divided into intervention group with audio-visual media and leaflet (n=10) and control group with leaflet (n=10). Samples were selected by accidental sampling method and data were collected by questionnaires. The results showed that the increase average score of intervention group after being given the education amount to 4.0 (Paired t Test, p-value=0.000). On the control group, the increase average score after being given the education amount to 1.6 (Paired t Test, p-value=0.005). The result of Unpaired t Test on the intervention and control group showed that the p-value is about 1.000 (p-value>0.05). The conclusion of this research is there is not a behaviour difference of external genital hygiene of pregnant women on the intervention and control group. The audio-visual media and leaflet usage has a significant effect in improving genital hygiene behavior of pregnant women. It is suggested for researchers to add the usage of education media as aids equipment in order to measure hygiene behaviour of pregnant women more objective.
