Abstract
Ketepatan pemberian pertolongan pertama kepada korban kecelakaan pra rumah sakit sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa komponen, salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pertolongan pertama adalah tingkat pengetahuan penolong pertama (polisi). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan penanganan pertolongan pertama korban kecelakaan lalu lintas di wilayah polres Kabupaten Pasuruan. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasional dengan metode teknik Cluster Sampling pada 37 polisi. Untuk instrumen penelitian peneliti menggunakan 2 kuesioner yakni kuesioner pengetahuan dan kuesioner pertolongan pertama yang telah di modifikasi peneliti untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan penanganan pertolongan pertama. Data ini dianalisa dengan Uji Spearman Rank. Dari hasil penelitian responden mayoritas memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang cukup yang tinggi terutama pada indikator definisi pertolongan pertama. Responden memiliki penanganan pertolongan pertama dalam kategori cukup. Hasil penelitian antara tingkat pengetahuan polisi dengan penanganan pertolongan pertama pada korban kecelakaan didapatkan nilai korelasi 0,140 dan p value (signifikansi) 0,408. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang tidak signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan polisi dengan penanganan pertolongan pertama korban kecelakaan lalu lintas. Dari penelitian ini disarankan kepada perawat kegawatdaruratan untuk saling memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan penanganan pertolongan pertama kepada polisi karena sebagai salah satu komponen dari kegawatdaruratan.
English Abstract
Giving the right first aid to the pre hospital accident’s victims is affected by several components. One factor that affect first aid handling is police’s level of knowledge about first aid itself. The aim of this study was to identified relationship between knowledge’s level and first aid handling of the traffic accidents’ victims in the police district Pasuruan. Design of this study used correlation analyze with cluster sampling technique and 37 polices were participated in this research. This research used 2 different instrument, there were knowledge questionnaire and first aid questionnaire which had been modified by researcher. The data of this study were analyzed by Sprearman Rank test. The result showed that most of the respondent had high level of knowledge especially for indicator the meaning of first aid. Respondent were included to the sufficient category in first aid handling. The result showed correlation value 0.140 and p value 0.408. It can be concluded that there is no relation between police’s level of knowledge and first aid handling of the traffic accident’s victims. This study suggest the emergency nurses to provide counseling and training of first aid handling to the police because that were still be one part of the component of emergency department.
