Abstract
Kualitas hidup lansia didefinisikan sebagai persepsi individu terhadap kehidupannya di masyarakat dalam konteks budaya dan sistem nilai yang ada yang terkait dengan tujuan, harapan, standar, dan juga perhatian. Interaksi dan peran lansia dalam pengasuhan cucu dapat menimbulkan kepuasan atau bahkan menimbulkan stress. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan kualitas hidup lanjut usia perempuan yang mengasuh dan tidak mengasuh cucu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripsi komparatif dengan pendekatan “Cross Sectional”. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi, yaitu lansia perempuan yang mengasuh cucu (n=79) dan lansia perempuan yang tidak mengasuh cucu (n=79). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan kualitas hidup lansia perempuan yang mengasuh dan tidak mengasuh cucu dengan hasil uji t-test independent dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 3,434 dengan signifikansi 0,001. Nilai t hitung > t tabel (3,434 > 1.98) dan nilai signifikansinya kurang dari 0,05 (p = 0,001 < 0,05). Rata-rata kelompok mengasuh cucu sebesar 89,3 sedangakan kelompok tidak mengasuh cucu sebesar 93,1 sehingga diketahui skor kelompok tidak mengasuh cucu lebih besar 3,8 dibandingkan dengan kelompok mengasuh cucu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan kualitas hidup lansia perempuan yang mengasuh dengan lansia perempuan yang tidak mengasuh cucu. Berdasarkan penelitian ini diharapkan lansia perempuan tidak dibebani mengasuh cucu dengan kapasitas yang berlebihanseperti harus menjaga, mengawasi cucu, dan menggendong cucu dengan beban >10kg agar kesehatan fisik lansia perempuan tersebut tidak semakin memburuk, namun lansia perempuan juga tidak seharusnya dijauhkan dengan cucunya agar tetap dapat mempererat hubungan antar generasi.
English Abstract
The quality of life of elderly women’s life is defined as an individuals perception of life in society based on the context of culture and value systems that exist related to the goals, expectations, standards, and also attention. The interaction and the role of the elderlywomen in caring of their grandchildren can lead to satisfaction or even cause stress. This study aims to look at the difference in quality of eldery women’s life who caring and with no caring of their grandchildren. The study design is a comparative description with approach "Cross Sectional". The Samples were selected by purposive sampling in accordance with the inclusion criteria, the elderly women who care for grandchildren (n = 79) and elderly women do not care for grandchildren (n = 79). The results showed no difference in the quality elderly women’s life who care for and do not care for grandchildren with results of independent t-test with a t value of 3.434 with 0.001 significance. T count> t table (3.434> 1.98) and the significance value less than 0.05 (p = 0.001 <0.05). An average teh group of caring for grandchildren amounted to 89.3 while the group does not caring of the grandchildren of 93.1 so unknown group score nor bring greater grandchildren of 3.8 compared with a group caring for grandchildren. The conclusion of this study is no difference in the quality of elderly women’s life who care for grandchildren for the elderly women who do not care for the grandchildren. Based on this study is expected to elderly women are not burdened with caring for grandchildren with overcapacity like to keep, keep an eye on posterity, and carrying a grandchild with a load of> 10kg so that the physical health of elderly women are not getting worse, but elderly women are not supposed to be kept with their grandchildren in order to still be able to strengthen the relationships intergenerational.
