Abstract
Pengobatan menggunakan antibiotik berdampak negatif seperti resistensi bakteri, mencemari lingkungan dan bersifat residu bagi tubuh konsumen. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan alternatif pengobatan yang dapat menghambat atau membunuh bakteri, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan daun mimba (A. indica). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak kasar daun mimba (A. indica) terhadap daya hambat dari bakteri A. hydrophila bakteri secara In Vitro. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan percobaan mengugunakan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 2 kontrol. Perlakuan A (10%), perlakuan B (20%), perlakuan C (30%), perlakuan D (40%), perlakuan E (50%), kontrol positif (ekstrak 100%) dan kontrol negatif (tanpa ekstrak). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata diameter zona bening tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan E dengan nilai 23,18 mm dan hasil rerata diameter zona bening terendah yaitu perlakuan A dengan nila 10,01 mm. Bertambahnya konsentrasi perlakuan ekstrak kasar daun mimba (A. indica) terhadap zona bening menunjukkan pola linier dengan persamaan y = 8,7027 + 0,3254x dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,966. Hubungan antara pemberian ekstrak kasar daun mimba (A. indica) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri A. hydrophila dengan nilai zona bening menunjukkan respon yang meningkat seiring bertambahnya konsentrasi ekstrak.
English Abstract
reatment using antibiotics could cause negative effect such as bacterial resistance, environmental pollution and residual properties for the consumer body. Therefore it is necessary to develop alternative treatment that can inhibit or kill bacteria, one of them is by using the leaves of neem (A. indica). This reseach aims to determine the effect of crude extract of neem leaf (A. indica) on the inhibitory power of bacteria A. hydrophila bacteria in In Vitro. The method used was experimental method with experimental design using Randomized Complete Design (RAL) consisting of 5 treatments and 2 controls. Treatment A (10%), treatment B (20%), treatment C (30%), treatment D (40%), treatment E (50%), positive control (100% extract) and negative control (no extract). The results showed that the highest mean diameter of the highest clear zone was found in treatment E with the value of 23.18 mm and the mean of the lowest clear zone diameter was treatment A with 10.01 mm clear zone. The increase of treatment concentration of mimba leaf extract (A. indica) to clear zone showed linear pattern with the equation y = 8,7027 + 0,3254x with coefficient of determination value (R2) equal to 0,966. The association between crude extract of neem leaves (A. indica) in inhibiting the growth of A. hydrophila bacteria with clear zone values showed an increased response as the concentration of extract increased.
