Ulumiyah, SafiraAinun (2015) Hubungan Antara Intake Ca (Calcium) dengan Tekanan Darah pada Wus (Wanita Usia Subur) Penderita Tekanan Darah Tinggi di Wilayah Kecamatan Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
High blood pressure is a major risk factor for coronary heart disease and stroke. There are several factors that cause high blood pressure e.g including excessived sodium consumption, lacked of physical activity, high BMI (Body Mass Index), age, smoking, inadequate intake of potassium, calcium intake, and others. Caused factors of high blood pressure which could be modified to maintain stable blood pressure is diet such as limiting the consumption of sodium, adequate intake of calcium, potassium, and magnesium, and doing regular physical activity. If calcium levels in the body low, can cause a lack of calcium regulation in extracellular and intracellular fluid. Unstable Ca 2+ homeostasis will increase blood pressure. This study aimed to determine the relationship between calcium intake on blood pressure in Maduranese reproductive age woman in District Kedungkandang, Malang. This study design was cross-sectional. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling (n=48). Calcium intake measured by Weighed Food Record on one day weekday and one day weekend. Blood pressure was measured using a digital sphygmomanometer. Bivariate analysis performed with Spearman Rank Correlation test because the distribution of data was not normal. Univariate analysis of calcium intake 164,45 (51,32-516,88) mg. From the results of statistical tests showed between calcium intake with systolic blood pressure p = 0,859 (p > 0,05) and p-value between calcium intake with diastolic blood pressure p = 0,107 (p > 0,05). Conclusions of this study was no significant relationship between calcium intake with systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
