Fradiana, Devi (2015) Hubungan antara Kadar Gula Darah dengan Laju Filtrasi Glomerulus (LFG) pada Penderita Diabetes Mellitus di Rumah Sakit Tentara Dr. Soepraoen Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

The number of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) cases had been increasing in the world. The uncontrolled DM could cause various complications. Microvascular complications were easily found among DM patients. One of them was diabetic nephropathy. This diabetic nephropathy could reduce Glomerulus Filtration Rate (GFR) but how close was the relationship between blood sugar level and GFR was yet unknown. The objective of research was to defend the relation between blood sugar level and GFR among DM patients at Military Hospital of Dr. Soepraoen Malang. Research design was correlation analytic with cross-sectional approach. The population of research included all DM patients who were treated as in-patient in Seruni, Flamboyan, Melati, Mawar, Teratai and Dahlia Wards at Military Hospital of Dr. Soepraoen Malang. The population of research was 153 patients who were taken from June to August 2014. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. Result of analysis with Rank-Spearman with SPSS indicated that correlation value = -0.349 with  = 0.029 < 0.05. It was also shown that P-value < 0.05, thus Ho was rejected while H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a relationship between blood sugar and GFR among DM patients who were treated as in-patient in Seruni, Flamboyan, Melati, Mawar, Teratai and Dahlia Wards at Military Hospital of Dr. Soepraoen Malang. The firmness rate of relationship between blood sugar level and GFR was 0.121 (12.1 %). It could be said that GFR was influenced by blood sugar rate by 12.1 % while the remaining 87.9 % were influenced by other factors. The direction of relationship between blood sugar level and GFR was negative, meaning that the higher blood sugar level was the lower GFR.
