-, Purwanti (2018) Analisis Perbandingan Fitoplankton Pada Kolam Pembesaran Ikan Mas (Cyprinus Carpio) Dan Ikan Nila (Oreochromis Niloticus) Di Ibat Punten, Batu, Jawa Timur. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Phytoplankton in the water ecosystem is very important for supporting the survival of aquatic organisms, such as zooplankton and fish. The purposes of this research were to observe the comparison of phytoplankton in the carp pond and tilapia pond, and to understand the correlation between CO2, nitrate and orthophosphate to phytoplankton abundance. This research was held on February to March 2018 at IBAT Punten, Batu, East Java, in two ponds of carp and two ponds of tilapia. Survey method was used in this study. Samples were totally taken 6 times with sampling in every 5 days. The waters condition on the carp and tilapia ponds was quite good for the growth of carp and tilapia based on the values of temperature, turbidity, pH, dissolved oxygen, CO2, N and P. The abundance of phytoplankton in carp ponds was 1538 cells/ml which classified oligotrophic and in tilapia ponds was 4900 cells/ml which included mesotrophic. Both ponds had a uniform diversity and included in moderate phytoplankton and there was no dominant phytoplankton based on T-test. The carbondioxide (CO2), nitrate and orthophosphate has directly propotional and strong correlation with phytoplankton abundance. In the future, pond management will be needed in the IBAT Punten with growing the natural food.
