Abstract
Isoflavon dalam yogurt kacang tunggak memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang dapat menghambat pembentukan plak pada dinding pembuluh darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh pemberian yogurt kacang tunggak dalam menghambat penebalan dinding aorta pada tikus yang diberi diet tinggi lemak. Desain penelitian menggunakan true experimental laboratory dengan post test only control group design. Hewan coba yang digunakan adalah tikus wistar berjumlah 30 ekor dan dibagi dalam 5 kelompok. Kelompok kontrol negatif (diet normal), kontrol positif (diet tinggi lemak), perlakuan 1 (diet lemak + yogurt kacang tunggak 2 ml), perlakuan 2 (diet lemak + yogurt kacang tunggak 3 ml) dan perlakuan 3 (diet lemak + yogurt kacang tunggak 4 ml). Data ketebalan dinding aorta diambil menggunakan program dot slide for windows, dianalisis menggunakan uji One Way Anova dan korelasi Pearson. Pad uji One Way Anova didapatkan perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok kontrol positif dengan semua kelompok perlakuan (p=0.000) dan antara kelompok perlakuan 3 dengan kelom-pok kontrol negatif (p=0.009). Sedangkan pada uji Pearson menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemberian yogurt kacang tunggak dengan ketebalan dinding aorta (p=0.009) dengan tingkat hubungan sebesar 63,2% dan sifat hubungan yang berlawanan arah (R = -0,632). Semakin tinggi dosis yogurt kacang tunggak yang diberikan maka ketebalan dinding aorta semakin kecil. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian yogurt kacang tunggak dalam menghambat penebalan dinding aorta tikus yang diberi diet tinggi lemak.
English Abstract
Isoflavones in cowpea yogurt have antioxidant activity that able to inhibit the formation of plaque. The aim of research is to determine the effect of cowpea yogurt in inhibiting the thickening of aortic wall in rats fed by high fat diet. Design of the research is true experimental laboratory with post-test only control group design. Samples that used are 30 wistar rats that were divided into 5 groups. Negative control group (normal diet) positive control (high fat diet), first treatment (high fat diet + cowpea yogurt 2 ml), second treatment (high fat diet + cowpea yogurt 3 ml) and third treatment (high fat diet + cowpea yogurt 4 ml). Data of aortic wall thickness were taken by dot slide program for windows then analyzed using One Way Anova and Pearson test. One Way Anova test showed a significant difference between positive control with all other groups (p=0.000) and between third treatment with negative control (p=0.009). Whereas, the result of Pearson test showed a significant relationship between the giving of cowpea yogurt and aortic wall thickness (p=0.009) with a rate of 63,2% in relation (R = -0,632). The higher dose of cowpea yogurt that were given, the smaller of the thickness of aortic wall. This research has concluded that there is an effect of giving cowpea yogurt in inhibiting the thickening of aortic wall in rats fed with high fat diet.
