Abstract
Endosulfan adalah pestisida golongan cyclodiene. Pestisida jenis endosulfan paling banyak digunakan untuk mengontrol hama pada hasil panen seperti kopi, teh, kapas, dan hasil panen lainnya. Endosulfan masih banyak digunakan pada bidang pertanian dan kesehatan publik. Toksisitas endosulfan telah terbukti pada berbagai macam organ seperti otak, ginjal, liver, jantung, dan organ reproduksi. Zat ini dapat masuk kedalam tubuh melalui traktus intestinal, paru-paru, dan kulit. Pada tahun 2007 suatu penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara paparan insektisida organoklorin pada ibu hamil selama periode organogenesis dengan perkembangan sistem syaraf. Endosulfan juga dapat mengganggu sistem imun seperti pembentukan sitokin pro inflamasi dan autoimun. Interleukin-1 Beta (IL-1β) adalah salah satu sitokin proinflamasi yang terlibat dalam inflamasi sistemik. Jalur IL-1 mengatur terjadinya inflamasi, angiogenesis, hematopoiesis dan kognisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan pengaruh paparan endosulfan terhadap kadar IL-1β serum pada anak tikus. Tikus betina yang sedang hamil dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok: kontrol (-), perlakuanl (+) yang diberi endosulfan secara oral dengan dosis berbeda setiap masing-masing kelompok yaitu 0.07 ml, 0.33 ml, dan 1.6 ml. Pembedahan dilakukan pada hari ke-30 setelah anak tikus dilahirkan, kemudian dilakukan pengukuran kadar IL-1β menggunakan ELISA kit. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil pengukuran IL-1β rata-rata sebesar 946 pg/ml pada kelompok kontrol negatif, 1102 pg/ml pada perlakuan 1, 872 pg/ml pada perlakuan 2, dan 604 pg/ml pada perlakuan 3. Pada uji regresi linear dapat diketahui bahwa paparan endosulfan terhadap IL-1β memiliki pengaruh sebesar 37,8%. Namun perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih
English Abstract
Endosulfan is a cyclodiene pesticide group. Endosulfan pesticide group is the most pesticide that widely used to control pests in crops such as coffe, tea, cotton, and other crops. Toxicity of endosulfan has been proven in many organs such as brain, kidney, liver, heart, and reproductive organs. These substance can poisoning the body through intestinal tract, lungs, and skin. In 2007, a study showed that there is relation between exposure of organochlorine pesticide in pregnant woman during the nerve development organogenesis period. Endosulfan can also interfere the immune system such as the formation of pro- inflammatory cytokines and autoimmunity. Interleukin - 1 beta (IL-1β) is one of the proinflammatory cytokine involved in systemic inflammation. IL-1 pathways regulate inflammation, angiogenesis , hematopoiesis and cognition. This study intends to research the effects of endosulfan to IL-1β level at mice blood serum. Pregnant rats are divided into 4 groups: control (-), treatment (+) is given endosulfan orally at different dose each group that is 0.07 ml, 0.33 ml, and 1.6 ml. The blood sample will be taken on the rats child at 30th days after the rats are born and serum level of IL-1β are measured using ELISA kit and the result is 946 pg/ml at control (-) group, 1102 pg/ml at 1st treatment group, 872 pg/ml at 2nd treatment group, and 604 pg/ml at 3rd treatment group. This study has 37,8% effect to IL-1β at linier regression test. However, further research needs to be conducted to determine the effects of endosulfan on the mother rats immune system.
