Abstract
Stroke merupakan penyakit pertama dari sepuluh penyakit utama yang menyebabkan kematian di Indonesia. Penurunan angka kejadian stroke dan angka kematian stroke di Dau pada Tahun 2011-2012 dapat dimungkinkan karena peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Pencegahan stroke adalah langkah awal dalam menanggulangi kejadian stroke. Posyandu lansia adalah program dari pemerintah yang dapat membantu mencegah stroke. Posyandu lansia yang terdiri dari kader dan tenaga kesehatan lain, dapat menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pencegahan stroke. Penelitian ini dilaksanakaan untuk mengetahui profil dan hubungan pengetahuan kader, terhadap pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat di Dau mengenai stroke. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional . Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak didapatkan hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan kader dan pengetahuan masyarakat di Dau (p value 0.791). Pengetahuan kader dan perilaku masyarakat tentang stroke juga tidak saling mempengaruhi (P value 0.181). Hasil yang tidak signifikan ini mungkin dapat diakibatkan oleh berbagai macam faktor lain yang mempengaruhi pengetahuan masyarakat di Dau seperti pengetahuan masyarakat yang sudah baik melalui berbagai macam informasi selain kader, pelaksanaan posyandu yang belum efektif, motivasi lansia untuk datang kurang, pengalaman dari individu.
English Abstract
Stroke is number one disease among ten main killer disease in indonesia. Reduction in the incidence of stroke and stroke mortality in Dau can be made possible due to the incress in quality of life. Prevention of stroke is first step to manage new event of stroke. Posyandu lansia as program for government can help to prevent stroke. Posyandu lansia that consist of "kader" and another medical practitioner, can pass the information to civilization about preventing stroke. This research was made to show the profile and the relation between kader intelligence level about stroke with intelligence and behaviour level of Dau people about stroke. This research using cross sectional method. The results from this study shows that there is no significant relation between intelligence level of kader with intelligence level of people in Dau (p value is 0.791). The intelligence level of kader and the behaviour of people in Dau about managing stroke isn’t significant (p value 0.181) . This results may because of another factor that affect intelligence and attitude level of people in Dau, like; people who have a good knowlege through a wide variety of informatios apart from the cadre, posyandu ineffective, lucking motivation elderly to come, the experience of the individual
