Abstract
Tuberkulosis merupakan masalah kesehatan dunia. Di indonesia masih ditemukan banyak kasus Tuberkulosis diberbagai daerah. Kasus drop out menjadi salah satu kendala keberhasilan program pemberantasan Tuberkulosis. Penderita yang diobati tidak lagi adekuat ini tidak meninggal dunia namun juga tidak sembuh dan tetap merupakan sumber penularan bagi masyarakat sekitarnya. Persepsi keparahan penyakit merupakan persepsi yang mengacu pada keyakinan subjektif seseorang dalam tingkat bahaya yang dapat timbul dari penyakit atau kondisi berbahaya sebagai akibat dari perilaku tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi keparahan penyakit dengan kejadian drop out pada penderita tuberkulosis di Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Case Control. Populasi adalah seluruh penderita Tuberkulosis Paru di Puskesmas Kota Malang yang berjumlah 437 orang. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling sebanyak 82 orang. Analisis data dari uji Chi Square diperoleh hasil nilai signifikansi ρ = 0.001 sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan antara persepsi keparahan penyakit dengan kejadian drop out pada penderita Tuberkulosis di Kota Malang, dan persepsi keparahan penyakit buruk berisiko lebih besar untuk drop out dibandingkan dengan persepsi keparahan baik. Disarankan kepada perawat penanggung jawab program TB di Puskesmas untuk memberikan penjelasan kepada penderita Tuberkulosis tentang penyakit yang dialaminya supaya mereka tidak mempunyai persepsi yang buruk tentang penyakitnya.
English Abstract
Tuberculosis is health problem in the world. In Indonesia there were many cases of tuberculosis in various regions. Case of dropped out to be one of the obstacles tuberculosis eradication program success. Patients were treated no longer adequate is not dead but also not recovered and remains a source of transmission for the surrounding community. Perception of disease severity is the perception that refers to a persons subjective belief in the level of danger that may arise from disease or dangerous conditions as a result of certain behaviors. This study aims to determine the relationship of perception of disease severity with the incidence of drop out in patients with tuberculosis in Malang. This study used a case control design. The population was all patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in health centers Malang, amount to 437 people. Sampling of this research was done by cluster random sampling as many as 82 people. Analysis of data from the Chi Square test results obtained significance value ρ = 0.001 can be concluded that there is a relationship between the perception of disease severity with incidence of drop out tuberculosis in Malang City, and poor perception of the severity of the disease are at greater risk to drop out compared to the perception of the severity of both. It is suggested to the nurse in charge of the TB program at the health center to provide an explanation to the patient about the disease Tuberculosis that happened so they do not have a bad perception about the disease.
