Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) tipe 2 merupakan penyakit kronis yang membutuhkan masa perawatan seumur hidup dan juga kesabaran yang cukup tinggi untuk mencapai hasil terapeutik yang dikehendaki, salah satunya dalam mengonsumsi obat. Dukungan keluarga merupakan faktor yang paling utama dalam mengontrol DM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien DM tipe 2 di RS Saiful Anwar Malang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik. Responden adalah pasien DM tipe 2 di RS Saiful Anwar Malang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Jumlah responden adalah 100 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross-sectional. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Fisher Exact Test dengan nilai α sebesar 0,05 yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar p = 0,017 dan Odds Ratio sebesar 4,375. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan minum obat dan semakin tinggi dukungan keluarga, akan semakin meningkatkan probabilitas kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien DM tipe 2 di RS Saiful Anwar Malang.
English Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) type 2 is a chronic disease that requires life-long treatment and high patience to achieve the desired therapeutic outcome, one of which is being patient in taking the drugs regularly. Family support is the most important factor in controlling diabetes. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and medication adherence in patient with type 2 diabetes at Saiful Anwar Hospital. This research is a descriptive analytical research. Respondents were patients with type 2 diabetes at Saiful Anwar Hospital who were chosen by using simple random sampling technique. The number of respondent was 100. The cross-sectional study method was used in this study. The data were analyzed by using Fisher Exact test with the α value of 0.05 and the result was a significance value p = 0,017 and Odd’s Ratio was 4,375. It can be concluded that there is relationship between family support and medication adherence, and the higher the family support, the higher will be the medication adherence in patients with type 2 diabetes at Saiful Anwar Hospital
