Abstract
Stres akademik merupakan stres yang terjadi di lingkungan sekolah atau pendidikan yang muncul karena adanya tekanan-tekanan untuk menunjukkan prestasi dan keunggulan dalam kondisi persaingan akademik yang semakin meningkat sehingga siswa semakin terbebani oleh berbagai tekanan dan tuntutan. Program pendidikan akselerasi merupakan pemberian pelayanan pendidikan sesuai dengan potensi kecerdasan dan bakat istimewa yang dimiliki siswa, dengan memberi kesempatan kepada mereka untuk dapat menyelesaikan program reguler dalam jangka waktu yang lebih singkat dibandingkan teman-temannya. Program pendidikan reguler adalah program pendidikan nasional yang penyelenggarannya bersifat massal yaitu berorientasi pada kualitas/ jumlah untuk dapat melayani sebanyak-banyaknya siswa usia sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan tingkat stres akademik antara program pendidikan akselerasi dan program pendidikan reguler di SMP Negeri 1 Wonogiri. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif komparatif dengan crossectional, menggunakan sampel sejumlah 257 siswa yang terdiri dari 44 siswa akselerasi dan 213 siswa reguler yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dengan metode close ended question. Hasil uji t-test independen di dapatkan p value sebesar 0,000. Rata-rata tingkat stres skademik siswa program pendidikan akselerasi adalah 70,1818 ± 6.84130 dan pada siswa program pendidikan reguler adalah 66,0469 ± 6.71085. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata siswa program pendidikan akselerasi memiliki tingkat stres akademik lebih tinggi daripada siswa program pendidikan reguler, meskipun keduanya masuk dalam kategori stres akademik sedang.
English Abstract
Academic stress is stress that occurs in the school environment or education that appear due to pressures to demonstrate achievements and excellence in academic competition conditions are increasing so that students are increasingly burdened by a range of pressures and demands. Accelerated education programme is the provision of educational services in accordance with the potential intelligence and talent of exceptional students, owned by giving it the opportunity to them to be able to complete a regular program in a shorter period of time compared to his peers. Regular education programme is a national education which is oriented on the quality/quantity to be able to serve as many school-age students. This research aims to look at the difference in stress levels between academic education program accelerated and regular educational programs at SMP N 1 Wonogiri. The design of this research is a descriptive comparative with crossectional, it use samples of 257 students consisting of 44 students accelerated and 213 regular students selected by probability sampling. Research using questionnaires with the method close ended question. Test results of the t-test p value obtained independent of 0.000. The average level of stress accelerated education program students academic is 70,1818 ± 6.84130 and students in the regular education program is 66,0469 ± 6.71085. This shows that the average students educational program has accelerated academic stress levels higher than students of regular education programs, although both are the category of middle academic stress.
