Abstract
Hipertensi merupakan faktor risiko utama kematian di seluruh dunia dan disebut sebagai the silent killer. Pasien yang sudah terdiagnosa hipertensi, akan diberikan pengobatan secara terus menerus untuk mengontrol tekanan darahnya. Kepatuhan minum obat yang tepat, akan didapatkan hasil tekanan darah yang terkontrol dan dapat mencegah timbulnya komplikasi. Salah satu hal yang dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan minum obat adalah penggunaan terapi alternatif dan komplementer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kepatuhan minum obat terhadap penggunaan terapi alternatif dan komplementer pada pasien hipertensi. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sebanyak 164 responden diambil secara purposive sampling diantara seluruh pasien hipertensi rawat jalan yang mengunjungi poliklinik jantung RSUD dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner skala kepatuhan minum obat Morisky dan kuesioner penggunaan terapi alternatif dan komplementer. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik korelasi Spearman Rank dengan program SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepatuhan minum obat terhadap penggunaan terapi alternatif dan komplementer pada hipertensi (p<0.05 dengan koefisien korelasi -0.322). Dapat disimpulkan, semakin rendah kepatuhan minum obat pasien hipertensi maka cenderung semakin tinggi penggunaan terapi alternatif dan komplementer. Disarankan untuk penelitian selanjutnya meneliti faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan terapi alternatif dan komplementer secara rinci, misalnya pengetahuan tentang pengobatan hipertensi.
English Abstract
Hypertension is a worldwide major risk factor for death and is referred to as the silent killer. Patients who have been diagnosed with hypertension, will be treated continuously to control their blood pressure. Appropriate medication adherence, will be obtained controlled blood pressure and can prevent the complication. One of the things that can affect medication adherence is the use of alternative and complementary therapies. The aim of this study is to determine the relation between medication adherence with the use of alternative and complementary therapies in hypertensive patient. The design of this study used cross sectional approach. A total of 164 respondents taken in purposive sampling among patient with hypertension visited to dr. Saiful Anwar outpatient clinic. The data were collected using questionnaires Morisky Medication Adherence Scale and questionnaire the use of alternative and complementary therapies. Spearman Rank correlation was applied to this study using SPSS 17.0 Programs for Windows. There were significant correlations between the use of alternative and complementary therapies with medication adherence in hypertensive patient (p<0.05 with correlation coefficient -0.322). The conclusion of this study, the lower medication adherence in hypertensive patients tend to be higher then the use of alternative and complementary therapies. It is recommended for next research to explore specifically about the influences factor of use of alternative and complementary therapies, for example knowledge about hypertension treatment.
