Abstract
Berat badan merupakan parameter yang dapat memberikan gambaran status gizi dan pertumbuhan. Masa prasekolah adalah masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan berat badan yang paling pesat dibandingkan dengan kelompok umur lainnya. Penilaian tumbuh kembang balita yang mudah untuk diamati adalah dengan mengukur berat badan balita. Perkembangan motorik kasar adalah perkembangan anak dengan melakukan gerakan-gerakan tubuh yang menggunakan otot untuk beraktivitas, seperti berlari, duduk, dan melompat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan berat badan dengan perkembangan motorik kasar anak usia 3-6 tahun. Desain penelitian ini adalah crosssectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 37 siswa usia 3-6 tahun di TK Children Centre Brawijaya Smart School Malang. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini a dalah berat badan sedangkan variabel terikat adalah perkembangan motorik kasar. Data diambil dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi berat badan anak dan lembar observasi Denver Development Screening Test (DDST) II khusus pada sektor motorik kasar berdasarkan usia kronologis sampel. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi Spearman SPSS 16 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat badan responden sebagian besar normal (65%) dan perkembangan motorik kasar responden sebagian besar baik (54%). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman (r=0.627 dengan p=0.000) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara berat badan dengan perkembangan motorik kasar anak usia 3-6 tahun. Disarankan untuk penelitian selanjutnya perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang faktor-faktor terkait dengan berat badan seperti sosial ekonomi, asupan gizi, dan aktivitas fisik anak dan jumlah sampel yang banyak.
English Abstract
Body weight is a parameter that can provide an overview of the nutritional status and growth. The preschool years are a period of growth and development of the most rapid weight compared with other age groups. Assessment of growth and development that is easy for preschool children is with a measure of body weight. Gross motor development is the development of children with conduct body movements using muscles for activity, such as running, sitting, and jumping. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between body weight with gross motor development of children aged 3-6 years old. This study design was crosssectional. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with the number of sample is 37 students aged 3-6 years old in TK Children Centre Brawijaya Smart School Malang. The independent variable in this study is the body weight while the dependent variable is the gross motor development. Data taken using the instrument observation sheet childs body weight and observation sheets Denver Development Screening Test (DDST) II specialized in sector gross motor based on chronological age of the sample. Spearman correlation analysis of the data using SPSS 16 for windows. The results showed that body weight of respondents most of normal (65%) and gross motor development of respondents most good (54 %). Results of Spearman correlation test (r= 0.627 and p= 0.000) indicates that there is a strong correlation between body weight with gross motor development of children aged 3-6 years. There’s suggestion for further research needs to be done about the factors associated with body weight such as socioeconomic, nutritional intake, and physical activity child and carried on the number of samples much.
