Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa dikenal sebagai bakteri penyebab infeksi nosokomial yang telah mengalami resistensi terhadap banyak antibiotik. Daun sukun (Artocarpus altilis) memiliki kandungan zat tanin, saponin, dan flavonoid. Senyawa aktif tersebut berperan sebagai antibiotik terhadap P. Aeruginosa yang dibuktikan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan desain eksperimental. Metode dilusi tabung digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai Kadar Hambat Minimal (KHM) dan Kadar Bunuh Minimal (KBM). Konsentrasi ekstrak daun sukun yang dipergunakan yaitu 7,5%, 8,5%, 9,5%, 10,5% dan 11,5% dengan empat kali pengulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney, dan uji korelasi Spearman dengan tingkat kepercayaan (α=0.05), hasil menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun sukun (Artocarpus altilis) memiliki efek antimikroba terhadap P. aeruginosa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak daun sukun (Artocarpus altilis) memiliki efek antimikroba terhadap P. aeruginosa dapat dilihat dari kadar hambat minimum (KHM) pada konsentrasi 9,5% dan kadar bunuh minimum pada konsentrasi 11,5% (KBM).
English Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is known as causes nosocomial infection that possess a high resistance against antibiotics. Breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis) contained tanin, flavonoid and saponin. The active compound that acts as an antibiotics for P. aeruginosa was demonstrated in this study using experimental design. Tube dilution method was used to determine the value of Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC).Consentration of the breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis) extract were 0%, 7,5%, 8,5%, 9,5%, 10,5%, and 11,5% with four repetitions. Result were analyzed by statistical test Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney and Spearman correlation test with confidence interval (α=0.05), results showed breadfruit leaf extracts (Artocarpus altilis) has antibiotics effect on the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Conclusion of the research is breadfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus altilis) has effect as an antimicrobial against Pseudomonas aeruginosa which the level of Minimun Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) is 9,5% and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) is 11,5%.
