Abstract
Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman dan membaiknya akses pelayanan kesehatan, maka semakin tinggi pula angka harapan hidup penduduk di Indonesia. Hal ini berdampak pada meledaknya populasi lansia yang ada di masyarakat. Secara biologis pada lanjut usia akan terjadi penurunan fungsi organ yang berdampak pada keadaan multipatologi dan mengancam kemandirian lansia yang berdampak pada meningkatnya beban sosial. Identifikasi faktor resiko menurunnya kemandirian lansia merupakan hal yang menarik guna mencari solusi potensial dalam mencegah ketergantungan lansia. Tujuan: menganalisa faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kemandirian lansia Metode: Penelitian dilakukan secara cross sectional dimana 182 lansia dievaluasi tingkat kemandiriannya dengan indeks barthel dan dikaitkan dengan usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, aktivitas sosial, aktif bekerja, tingkat pendapatan, adanya dukungan keluarga, penyakit penyerta, status kognisi dan status gizi (MNA). Uji korelasi spearman dilakukan guna menganalisa hubungan karakteristik subyek dengan kemandirian lansia. Hasil: terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingginya tingkat pendidikan, adanya aktivitas sosial, aktif bekerja, tingginya tingkat pendapatan, tidak adanya dukungan keluarga, tidak adanya penyakit penyerta, status kognisi normal dan tingginya status gizi terhadap kemandirian lansia (p<0,05). Adanya faktor-fator tersebut akan meningkatkan kemandirian lansia. Kemandirian lansia tidak dipengaruhi oleh usia dan jenis kelamin (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: kemandirian lansia dipengaruhi oleh tingginya tingkat pendidikan, adanya aktivitas sosial, aktif bekerja, tingginya tingkat pendapatan, tidak adanya dukungan keluarga, tidak adanya penyakit penyerta, status kognisi normal dan tingginya status gizi.
English Abstract
Along with the development and improving access to health care causes higher life expectancy of the population in Indonesia . This resulted in an explosion of elderly. The elderly naturally will suffer from declining organ function causes multi pathology impact, declining independence of the elderly in which have an impact on increasing social burden. Identification of risk factors for the declining independence of the elderly is an interesting thing to look for potential solutions in preventing elderly dependency. Objective: To analyze the factors that influence the independence of the elderly Methods: The study was conducted as a cross sectional study where 182 elderly were evaluated for level of independence by Barthel index and was being associated with age, gender, level of education, social activities, actively working, income level, family support, comorbidities, cognitive status and nutritional status (MNA). Spearman correlation test was conducted to analyze the correlation between characteristics belong to subjects with the independence of elderly. Results: There was a significant correlation between higher levels of education, social activity, active work, high levels of income, lack of family support, absence of comorbiditie, normal cognitive status and nutritional status with elderly independence (p< 0.05). The existence of these factors will increase the independence of the elderly. The independence of the elderly was not influenced by age and gender (p > 0.05). Conclusion : the independence of the elderly are affected by high levels of education, social activity, actively working, high levels of income, lack of family support, absence of comorbidities, normal cognitive and nutritional status .
