Adline, Farahdila (2013) Potensi Larutan Tape Singkong (Manihot utilissima Pohl) Sebagai Atraktan Nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Attractan is one kind of mosquito control by using media and materials that may attract mosquitoes. That material would attract mosquitoes if it producing lactic acid. Substance that believed to have potential as an attractan is immersion of fermented cassava. The fermented cassava solution procuces lactic acid as a mosquitoes attracting material through mosquitoes receptors which is called ORNs (Olfactory Receptor Neurons). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermented cassava solution as attractans of Aedes aegypti. This study use an experimental research laboratory. The experimental design was a post test control group designs where there are 5 groups with each group contains 25 mosquitoes. Group 1 provided immersion of 50g sugar and 1g yeast in 200ml tap water as a positive control, group 2 is given tap water only as a negative control, while groups 3 until 5 are given immersion of fermented cassava with a concetration of 50%, 75% and 100%. This study shown significant results (ANOVA, p<0.05) between control and treatment. Result of this study can be concluded that 100% concetration of immersion of fermented cassava has the most effect as an attractan of Aedes aegypti.
