Abstract
Hipertensi merupakan salah satu kondisi yang biasa disebut The Silent Killer karena sering tidak menunjukkan gejala (asimtomatis). Sebagian besar orang tidak merasakan apapun meski tekanan darahnya sudah jauh diatas normal. Salah satu faktor predisposisi terjadinya hipertensi adalah berat badan berlebih ( overweight ). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara berat badan berlebih terhadap kejadian hipertensi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan studi kasus kontrol. Responden dipilih dan dikelompokkan menjadi kelompok kasus dan kelompok kontrol. Jumlah responden 190 responden dari wilayah Puskesmas Mojolangu Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengukuran IMT dan pengukuran tekanan darah. Data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan chi square. Hasil dari pengolahan data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,043 (p<0,05) dengan jumlah responden yang memiliki IMT normal mengalami pre hipertensi (55%), IMT berlebih mengalami pre hipertensi (40%) dan IMT obesitas cenderung memiliki tekanan darah stage I dan stage II (7%). Dari hasil penghitungan odd ratio , pasien yang mempunyai IMT berlebih memiliki resiko 1,112 kali lebih besar mempunyai hipertensi dibandingkan pasien yang memiliki IMT normal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara berat badan berlebih ( overweight ) dan kejadian hipertensi di wilayah Puskesmas Mojolangu Kota Malang.
English Abstract
Hypertension is a condition that is commonly called the silent killer because often show no symptomps (asymptomatic). Most people do not feel anything even though her blood pressure is far above normal. One of the factors predisposing to hypertension is excess weight (overweight). This study aims to determine the relationship between excess body weight on the incidence of hypertension. This research is an analytic observational case control study. Respondents were selected and grouped into groups of case and control groups. Number of respondents 190 respondents from PHC Mojolangu Malang region. This study uses measurements of BMI and blood pressure measurements. The data obtained were analyzed using chi square. The results of processing the data showed a significance value of 0.043 (p<0.05) with the number of respondent who had a normal BMI had experienced pre hypertension (55%), excess BMI has developed pre hypertension (40%) and obese BMI tend to have a blood pressure of stage I and stage II hypertension (7%). Calculation of odds ratios result, patients who have excess BMI has 1,112 times greater risk of having hypertension blood pressure than patients who had a normal BMI. It can be concluded that there is a real connection between excess weight (overweight) and the incidence of hypertension in the health centre Mojolangu Malang region.
