Abstract

Merokok dikalangan dewasa maupun remaja adalah hal biasa yang dilakukan, sebanyak 9,2 % dari kematian di Indonesia disebabkan karena penyakit yang disebabkan rokok. Kita ketahui bahwa rokok mengandung ribuan komponen kimia dan metal, termasuk banyak radikal bebas yang menyebabkan kanker ( esofagus, faring, paru, ginjal, pankreas dan saluran kemih) serta penyakit kronis seperti stroke dan penyakit jantung koroner. Kombucha kopi mengandung senyawa katekin sebagai antioksidan untuk menangkap radikal bebas yang di sebabkan oleh asap rokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemberian kombucha coffee terhadap penurunan kadar LDL tikus putih yang dipapar asap rokok. Hipotesis penelitian ini bahwa terjadi penurunan kadar LDL pada pemberian kombucha coffee akan menurunkan kadar LDL tikus putih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen (true experimental) dengan metode desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Pada penelitian 30 ekor tikus wistar jantan dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok P0 (kontrol negatif), kelompok P1 (kontrol posotif), kelompok P2 ,P3 dan P4 yaitu kelompok tikus yang diberikan paparan asap rokok dan diberikan dosis kombucha coffee sebesar 2,7 ml/hari, 4,05 ml/hari dan 5,4 ml/hari selama 30 hari. Hasil penelitian ini berdasarkan uji statistik Kruskal- Wallis pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% menunjukkan perbedaan kadar LDL yang signifikan (p=0,037), artinya ada pengaruh kombucha coffee terhadap kadar LDL tikus wistar yang telah dipapar asap rokok, dan penurunan kadar LDL yang paling rendah pada kelompok P2 yaitu sebesar 12,84 mg/dl dengan dosis pemberian kombucha coffee 2,7 ml per hari. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kombucha coffee dapat menurunkan kadar LDL tikus yang telah dipapar asap rokok.

English Abstract

Smoking among adults and adolescents is a common thing to do, as much as 9.2% of deaths in Indonesia due to diseases caused by smoking. We know that cigarettes contain thousands of chemical and metal components, including many free radicals that cause cancer (esophagus, pharynx, lungs, kidneys, pancreas and urinary tract), and chronic diseases such as stroke and coronary heart disease. The substance of kombucha coffee is catechin as antioxidants to capture free radicals caused by cigarette smoke. This study aims to determine the kombucha coffee to a decrease in LDL levels of white rats exposed to cigarette smoke. This study hypothesized that decreased levels of LDL occurred on providing coffee kombucha will reduce levels of LDL rat. This research is experimental (true experimental) design method completely randomized design (CRD), 30 wistar male rats were randomly assigned to 5 groups that is P0 (negtive control group), P1 (positif control group), and 3 group treated exposure cigarette smoke with 3 different doses P2 2,7 ml/d, P3 4,05 ml.d, P4 5,4 ml/d, then treated on 30 days according the group. The results are based on the Kruskal-Wallis test statistic at 95% confidence level showed significant differences in levels of LDL (p = 0.037), meaning that there is an influence on levels of LDL coffee kombucha Wistar rats that had been exposed to cigarette smoke, and a decrease in LDL levels in the lowest P2 groups in the amount of 12.84 mg / dl with coffee kombucha doses 2.7 ml/d. It can be concluded that kombucha coffee can reduce levels of LDL rat that had been exposed to cigarette smoke
