Hubungan antara Status Reseptor Progesteron dengan Metastasis Kelenjar Getah Bening pada Carcinoma Mammae.

Nurhuda, YusaAmin (2013) Hubungan antara Status Reseptor Progesteron dengan Metastasis Kelenjar Getah Bening pada Carcinoma Mammae. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Background: Lymph node metastasis, tumor size, tumor grade, estrogen receptor status and progesterone receptor status are important prognostic factors of carcinoma mammae . The association between histological grade of carcinoma mammae and progesterone receptor status had already been found. The study of the association between progesterone receptor status and lymph node metastasis is unclear. Objective: To investigate the association between progesterone receptor status and lymph node metastasis in carcinoma mammae . Method: Observational case-control study by collecting medical records of carcinoma mammae patients from Departement of Anatomic Pathology in Saiful Anwar Hospital from January 2010 to December 2011. We collected data about the existence of lymphnode metastasis and data about the existence of progesterone receptor from immunohistochemistry pro cedure performed by pathologist. Results: Among 111 patients with carcinoma mammae , only 56 cases met the inclusion criteria. Odds ratio test showed that the value of odds ratio was 1; it means that patients who have positive progesterone receptor and patients with negative progesterone receptor had the same value for the risk of lymph node metastasis. Odds ratio significance test showed p = 1 (p > 0.05); it means that there was no association between progesterone receptor and lymph node metastasis in carcinoma mammae . Conclussion: There is no association between progesterone receptor status and lymph node metastasis in carcinoma mammae .
