Abstract

Indonesia terletak pada area garis khatulistiwa dengan iklim tropis sehingga Indonesia bisa mendapatkan sinar matahari sepanjang tahun. Akibat dari posisinya tersebut, Indonesia menerima radiasi sinar matahari paling besar dari arah barat dan timur. Bangunan di Indoensia perlu perlindungan dari radiasi matahari dengan menggunakan shading device dengan bentuk dan ukuran yang sesuai. Pada objek penelitian, Gedung Fakultas Teknik Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya, sisi terpanjangnya menghadap barat dan timur tanpa perlindungan shading device yang mencukupi untuk membayangi sisi tersebut. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode simulasi. Objek di simulasi dengan program Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2012 untuk mengetahui penerimaan radiasi matahari pada kedua sisi tersebut dan juga dilakukan perhitungan dengan OTTV (Overall Thermal Transfer Value) sebelum dan sesudah diberikan shading device yang direkomendasikan. Dengan rekomendasi shading device yang tepat, penerimaan radiasi matahari pada sisi barat dan timur bangunan dapat berkurang hingga 22,99% dari semula dan menurunkan nilai OTTV menjadi sesuai standar SNI yaitu 35 Watt/m2, dari 37,02 Watt/m2 menjadi 25,31 Watt/m2.

English Abstract

Indonesia is located on the equator with tropical climate so Indonesia can get sun rays throughout the year. Because of the location, Indonesia receives a lot of solar radiation from the west and east. The buildings in Indonesia need to protect its façade from solar radiation with the right shape and size of shading device. In this object of study, Faculty of Agricultural Technology Brawijaya University building, the longest side is facing the west and east while not providing enough shading device to shade itself. The method used in this study is simulation method. The object is simulated with Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2012 to see the solar irradiance gain on its both sides and calculate its OTTV (Overall Thermal Transfer Value) before and after being given the recommended shading device. With the right shading device recommendation, the solar irradiance gain on the west and east side of the building can be reduced up to 22,99% from its origin and lowered the OTTV to be in accordance with the SNI standard of 35 Watt/m2, from 37,02 Watt/m2 to 25,31 Watt/m2.
