Abstract
Kampung Gede Ciptegelar merupakan pusat pemerintahan kasepuhan komunitas Pancer-Pangawinan terkini yang selanjutnya disebut sebagai Kasepuhan Ciptagelar. Komunitas Pancer-Pangawinan sendiri telah hadir lebih dari 350 tahun lalu dan berdiaspora di wilayah Pegunungan Kendeng Banten dan Jawa Barat dalam teritori (a) leuweng; terdiri dari tutupan, titipan, dan garapan dan (b) perkampungan; terdiri dari kampung gede, lembur dan tari kolot yang berada dalam wewengkon adat. Secara berkala mereka memeriksa, memelihara, dan mempertahankan teritori tersebut. Dalam satu permukiman terdapat dua elemen lingkungan yang saling melengkapi, yaitu lingkungan agrikultur (garapan) dan lembur. Di sisi lain, Kasepuhan Ciptagelar merupakan masyarakat yang masih mempertahankan budaya padi hingga sekarang. Mereka menghormati dan menjadikan padi sebagai entitas suci yang harus dijaga yang berpengaruh pada kehidupan masyarakat Komunitas Ciptagelar. Budaya padi juga mempengaruhi cara mereka menata permukimannya. Bagaimana warga memproteksi: memeriksa, memelihara, dan mempertahankan wilayah permukimannya dalam konteks budaya padi? Terdapat satu ritual prahprahan yang diselenggarakan masyarakat secara berkala dalam menjaga permukimannya. Banyak elemen-elemen vegetatif yang digunakan dan dijadikan sebagai media sawen (protektor). Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu eksploratif dan deskriptif. Pertama, mengidentifikasi teritori permukiman dari aspek lingkungan lembur pada Kampung Gede Kasepuhan Ciptagelar berdasarkan penempatan sawen lembur. Kedua, memahami cara masyarakat memproteksi lingkungan lembur berdasarkan ritual prah-prahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deduktif dalam paradigma rasionalistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi observasi lapangan. Responden ditentukan berdasarkan proses maksimalisasi informasi atas siapa yang memiliki pengetahuan terhadap subyek penelitian sehingga merupakan seseorang yang unik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) berdasakan penempatan sawen lembur, wilayah atau teritori spasial lingkungan lembur yang perlu diproteksi adalah akses/jalan menuju permukiman; (2) berdasarkan ritual prah-prahan, aktivitas memproteksi merupakan kegiatan menurunkan berkah Yang Maha Kuasa untuk keselamatan permukiman atau lembur.
English Abstract
Kampung Gede Ciptegelar is the center reign of the current Kasepuhan Pancer- Pangawinan community hereinafter referred to as Kasepuhan Ciptagelar. The Pancer- Pangawinan community itself was present over 350 years ago and diasporic in Kendeng Banten ridge and West Java in the territory of (a) leuweng; consisting of tutupan, titipan, and garapan (b) settlement; consisting of large kampongs, lembur and tari kolot that are in wewengkon consuetude. Periodically they check, maintain, and retain the territory. In one settlement there are two complementary environmental elements, namely the agricultural environment (garapan) and settlement (lembur). On the other hand, Kasepuhan Ciptagelar is a society that still maintain the culture of rice until now. They respect and make rice as a sacred entity that must be taken care of which affects the life of Ciptagelar Community people. Rice culture also influences the way they organize their settlements. How do citizens protect: checking, maintaining, and retaining their settlements in the context of rice culture? There is a ritual of prah-prahan that is held regularly by the community in guarding its settlement. Many of the vegetative elements used and used as media sawen (protector). This research has two purposes, that is explorative and descriptive. First, identify the settlement territory from the environmental aspects of lembur in Kampung Gede Kasepuhan Ciptagelar based on the placement of sawen lembur. Second, understand the way society protects the lembur environment based on the rituals of prah-prahan. This research uses qualitative-deductive method in rationalistic paradigm. This research uses field observation strategy. Respondents are determined based on the process of maximizing information on who has knowledge of the subject of research so that it is a unique person. The result of the research shows that (1) based on the placement of sawen lembur, spatial area or spatial territory of lembur which need to be protected is access / road to settlement; (2) based on the ritual of prah-prahan, the activity of protecting is the activity of lowering the blessing of the Almighty for the safety of settlement or lembur.
