Abstract
Luas lahan Kota Malang didominasi oleh peruntukan kampung kota dengan luas lahan mencapai 36% dari luas total Kota Malang. Pada umumnya Kampung Kota mengalami permasalahan lingkungan, sosial dan ekonomi akibat tingginya kepadatan bangunan dan penduduk, serta perkembangannya tanpa perencanaan. Padahal di sisi lain kampung kota memiliki peran penting dalam proses perkembangan kota tersebut dan kampung kota merupakan merupakan aset yang akan diwariskan ke generasi selanjutnya, sehingga keberadaannya mempengaruhi kesejahteraan generasi saat ini dan selanjutnya. Upaya peningkatan kualitas lingkungan permukiman Kampung kota merupakan upaya dalam menjawab permasalahan-permasalahan lingkungan yang dihadapi kampung kota. Kampung Celaket RW 1 merupakan salah satu kampung yang sudah melakukan upaya peningkatan kualitas permukiman. Upaya peningkatan kualitas lingkungan permukiman yang dilakukan Kampung Celaket RW 1 merupakan upaya untuk menjawab permasalahanpermasalahan kualitas permukiman pada kawasan Kampung Celaket RW 1. Upaya peningkatan kualitas permukiman yang dilakukan oleh Kampung Celaket RW 1 seharusnya juga memperhatikan keberlanjutannya sebagai sebuah permukiman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat dan korelasi antara kualitas permukiman dan keberlanjutan lingkungan-sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran metode kuantitatif dan metode kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif yang digunakan adalah analisis thurstone score untuk mengetahui tingkat kualitas permukiman dan keberlanjutan lingkungan-sosial pada Kampung Celaket RW 1 dan korelasi pearson untuk mengetahui korelasi diantara keduanya. Metode kualitatif yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksplanatori. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah kualitas permukiman dan keberlanjutan lingkungan sosial Kampung Celaket RW 1 memiliki kualitas cukup baik dan keduanya memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat hubungan kuat. Namun masih ada beberapa variabel yang memiliki kualitas kurang baik berdasarkan persepsi warga dan belum memenuhi standar, teori atau regulasi yang berlaku.
English Abstract
Land area of Malang City is dominated by allotment of city kampong with wide of land reach 36% from total area of Malang City. In general, city kampong experienced environmental, social and economic problems due to the high density of buildings and population, and its development without planning. Yet on the other hand the city kampong has an important role in the process of development of the city and city kampong is an asset that will be inherited to the next generation, so that its existence affects the welfare of current and future generations. Efforts to improve the quality of settlements city kampong is an effort in answering environmental problems faced by city kampong. Kampung Celaket RW 1 is one of the city kampongs that have made efforts to improve the quality of settlements. Efforts to improve the quality of setlement neighborhoods conducted by Kampung Celaket RW 1 is an effort to answer the problems of settlement quality in Kampung Celaket RW 1. Efforts to improve the quality of settlements conducted by Kampung Celaket RW 1 should also pay attention to its sustainability as a settlement. The purpose of this study is to determine the level and correlation between the quality of settlements and social-environment sustainability. The method used is a mixed method of quantitative methods and qualitative methods. The quantitative method used is thurstone score analysis to find out the level of settlement quality and social-environment sustainability at Kampung Celaket RW 1 and Pearson correlation to know the correlation between the two. The qualitative method used is descriptive explanatory. The results obtained are the quality of the settlement and the sustainability of the social environment of Kampung Celaket RW 1 has good enough quality and both have a relationship with the level of strong relationship. But there are still some variables that have poor quality based on the perception of citizens and not yet meet the standards, theories or regulations that apply.
