Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peranan sistem informasi dalam membantu kegiatan operasional suatu organisasi. Dengan pemanfaatan sistem informasi tersebut menjadikan suatu organisasi memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dibandingkan dengan organisasi lain. Contoh dari sistem informasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh suatu organisasi adalah sistem informasi keuangan berbasis open source, mengingat salah satu kegiatan operasional organisasi yaitu kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan keuangan. Objek penelitian dilakukan Guest House Bandoeng, Malang yang bergerak dibidang jasa yaitu jasa penginapan. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada aplikasi TurboCASH4. Diketahui bahwa Guest House Bandoeng belum melakukan implementasi sistem informasi keuangan berbasis open source. Hal tersebut membuat perusahaan dalam membuat laporan keuangannya menjadi kurang sistematis dan sulit dipahami oleh stakeholder. Setelah melakukan implementasi, peneliti melakukan evaluasi terhadap sistem informasi sehingga dapat diketahui apa saja kelemahan dan kelebihan dari sistem yang telah diimplementasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan implementasi sistem informasi keuangan berbasis open source pada Guest House Bandoeng, dan melakukan evaluasi dari implementasi sistem informasi keuangan berbasis open source. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitiatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu menggambarkan sistem informasi keuangan yang berjalan, melakukan implementasi sistem informasi keuangan, dan melakukan evaluasi atas implementasi sistem informasi keuangan berbasis open source yang menggunakan teknik evaluasi dengan pendekatan utility system. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi sistem informasi keuangan berbasis open source berjalan cukup baik. Namun, terdapat kendala yaitu persiapan pengguna (user) dan pelatihan karyawan masih belum dilaksanakan oleh perusahaan. Dan hasil evaluasi dari implementasi sistem informasi berbasis open source TurboCASH4 di Guest House Bandoeng ditemukan terdapat modul yang belum bisa dimanfaatkan oleh perusahaan yaitu modul jurnal penerimaan. Karena pada modul tersebut perusahaan tidak mempunyai transaksi yang dapat di input pada modul tersebut. Dibandingkan dengan modul-modul yang lain, perusahaan dapat memanfaatkannya secara baik.

English Abstract

This research is motivated by the role of information systems in helping the operations of an organization. By making use of the information system of an organization has a competitive advantage compared to other organizations. Examples of information system that can be used by an organization is a financial information system based on open source, considering one of the organization's operational activities are related to finance. The object of research is conducted in Bandoeng Guest House, Malang engaged in hospitality services. This study is a qualitative research approach case study on theTurboCASH4 application. It is known that the Guest House Bandoeng yet implemented financial information systems based on open source. This makes the company in making financial statements less systematic and difficult to be understood by stakeholders. Once implemented, the researchers evaluated the information system so as to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of the systems that have been implemented. The purpose of this study is to conduct a financial information system implementation based on open source in Guest House Bandoeng, and evaluation of the implementation of financial information systems. This research is a kind of research be qualitative case study approach. The focus of this research that describe the system that runs the financial information before, implementation of financial information systems and evaluate the implementation of financial information systems based on open source use evaluation technique with the utility system approach. The results showed that the implementation of financial information systems based on open source went pretty well. However, there are obstacles: preparing users and training of employees still not been implemented by the company. And the results of the evaluation of the implementation of information systems based on open source TurboCASH4 at Guest House Bandoeng found there are modules that cannot be used by companies,that modules is receipts journal module. Because that modules, the company has no transactions can be input on the module. Compared with other modules, the company can use it either.
