English Abstract
Organic agriculture is a movement of resistance from agricultural development oriented to the growth or productivity of the "Green Revolution" which was initially popularized in the European Union. The organic farming system tries to improve the negative impact of the Green Revolution on the basis of soil fertility as a key to the success of production that takes into account the natural ability of soil, plants and animals to produce good quality for agricultural and environmental products. The development of organic farming system in Indonesia is supported by the development of trend or organic lifestyle of Indonesian people who want to consume organic products. This led to the issue of certification as a guarantee for the practice of organic farming which became a hot talk of 2003. One of the products of organic farming is the demand for organic vegetables, but generally the consumers of these organic vegetables are dominated by the middle to upper class because the price of organic vegetables is relatively expensive. Institutional development of a competitive vegetable agribusiness partnership particularly for organic vegetable products is considered essential to meet market demand, increasing efficiency and productivity as well as consumer preferences for organic products. Brenjonk Organic Community is one of the agribusiness institutions which is engaged in the cultivation and marketing of organic vegetables in Mojokerto regency. The implementation of the partnership between Brenjonk Organic Communities and partner farmers provides benefits to the parties concerned. Brenjonk Organic Community can save production cost as well as guaranteed organic vegetables in quality and quantity, while farmers can improve their ability in organic vegetable cultivation, income increase and quality improvement. Therefore, this study aims to: (1) Describe the implementation of the partnership pattern that took place between the Organic Communities of Brenjonk and organic vegetable farmers; (2) Analyzing the income and efficiency of organic vegetable farming following the partnership with Brenjonk Organic Community; (3) Analyzing the factors that influence the income level of organic vegetable farmers who follow the partnership with Brenjonk Organic Community. The types of data collected in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from the respondents of the study by interviewing the farmers to the respondents and the Brenjonk Organic Community using a prepared questionnaire guide. While secondary data obtained from other sources that are not obtained directly by the researchers, the data obtained from the Organic Community Brenjonk and village institutions in the District Trawas. Data obtained from the Brenjonk Organic Community are: a list of partner farmers, corporate organizational structures and partnerships. While the data obtained from the village institution is information about population data. Other supporting data are used such as books, journals and articles. Population of data used in this research is organic farmer partner farmers who take shelter in partnership in ix Community Brenjonk, Mojokerto. The sampling method used is the census, where all population members are used as samples. The data obtained are then analyzed by two methods namely qualitative methods and quantitative methods. The result of the analysis shows that the partnership pattern between Brenjonk organic community and organic vegetable farmer is partnership pattern of Agribusiness Operation Cooperation. The average income of farmers who partnered with Brenjonk Organic Community amounted to Rp 593.587,77 with details of each green spinach commodity Rp 159.796,74; kale commodity Rp 107.027,99; mustard commodity Rp 143.676,43; pakcoy commodity Rp 183.086,61, where the value shows the advantage for organic vegetable farmers who partner with Brenjonk Organic Community with an increase rate of 30% over the previous year. There are 6 variables that are used to analyze the factors that influence the farmer's income: Land area (X1), Production cost (X2), Total Production (X3), Farmer Education (X4), Length of partnership (X5) and Farmer's age (X6). Based on data obtained from 6 factors are factors that significantly affect in 95% is land area and production quantity,in 90% is cost of production. While the factors that have no significant effect is the farmer education, partnership and age of farmers.
