Abstract
Emosi dasar manusia telah banyak diteliti secara lintas budaya, salah satunya dengan menggunakan ekspresi wajah. Melalui ekspresi mikro pada wajah dapat diketahui emosi bahkan psikologi seseorang. Ekspresi dasar bersifat universal artinya anak kecil atau orang buta dapat mengetahui atau membentuk ekspresi dasar. Ekspresi mikro merupakan ekspresi yang muncul secara halus dan tidak disadari. Ekspresi mikro sangat sulit atau bahkan tidak dapat disembunyikan. Pada umumnya dibutuhkan pakar untuk dapat mengetahui kemunculan ekspresi mikro pada wajah dan diambil kesimpulan emosi yang diperlihatkan dari ekpresi mikro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Local Binary Pattern (LBP) untuk mendapatkan fitur-fitur ekpresi mikro pada wajah dan melakukan klasifikasi dengan metode K-Nearest Neighbour (K-NN) untuk proses pengenalan emosi berdasarkan ekspresi mikro. Proses pengenalan wajah dilakukan dengan mengambil area wajah dari citra kemudian diproses dengan metode LBP dan diklasifikasikan menggunakan metode K-NN. Hasil pengujian penentuan nilai k pada metode klasifikasi K-NN menunjukkan bahwa saat k bernilai 5 dan 7 mampu mengenali emosi berdasarkan ekspresi mikro dengan akurasi 56,03%. Hasil pengujian penentuan nilai R dan nilai P pada metode LBP dengan nilai k = 5 menunjukkan peningkatan akurasi dalam pengenalan emosi menjadi 63,83%. Hasil pengujian pada ukuran dimensi citra dengan menggunakan nilai k=5, R=2 dan P=8 menunjukkan bahwa ukuran dimensi citra yang menghasilkan akurasi terbaik yaitu 200x200 piksel dengan nilai akurasi 63,83%. Hasil pengamatan dengan menggunakan tiga metode pencarian jarak pada klasifikasi K-NN menunjukkan bahwa metode perhitungan jarak Manhattan mampu meningkatkan akurasi dalam pengenalan emosi menjadi 70,21%.
English Abstract
The basic human emotions have been widely investigated cross-culturally, one of them by using facial expressions. Through the micro expression on the face can be known even one's psychological emotions. Basic expression is universal means that the child or the blind can know or form a basic expression. Micro expression is an expression that appears subtle and unconscious. Micro expression is very difficult or even can not be hidden. In general, experts need to be able to know the emergence of micro expression on the face and taken the emotional conclusions shown from the micro expression. This research uses Local Binary Pattern (LBP) method to get features of facial micro expression and classification using K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) method for emotional recognition process based on micro expression. The process of facial recognition is done by taking the face area of the image and then processed by LBP method and classified using K-NN method. The result of k-value determination test on K-NN classification method shows that when k value 5 and 7 is able to recognize emotion based on micro expression with 56,03% accuracy. The result of determination test of R value and P value on LBP method with k = 5 value showed an increase of accuracy in emotional recognition to 63,83%. Test results on the dimensions of image dimension using k = 5, R = 2 and P = 8 indicate that the dimension of the image that produces the best accuracy is 200x200 pixels with 63,83% accuracy value. Observations using three distance search methods in the K-NN classification show that Manhattan distance calculation method can increase accuracy in emotional recognition to 70.21%.
