Abstract

Kacang panjang Vigna sesquipedalis L. (Fabaceae) merupakan sayuran yang dibudidayakan secara luas di Indonesia dan dikonsumsi masyarakat. Perkembangan produksi kacang panjang di Indonesia mengalami penurunan. Serangan Aphis craccivora Koch. (Homoptera: Aphididae) dan Maruca testulalis Geyer. (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) menyebabkan gagal panen. Dalam mengatasi serangan hama, petani menggunakan insektisida sebagai pengendalian yang mudah diterapkan. Jenis insektisida yang digunakan untuk mengendalikan A. craccivora dan M. testulalis adalah dimetoat. Informasi konsentrasi insektisida dimetoat yang tepat dalam pengendalian hama A. craccivora dan M. testulalis dibutuhkan oleh petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi insektisida dimetoat terhadap A. craccivora dan M. testulalis pada tanaman kacang panjang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan kacang panjang Desa Plandi, Kecamatan Wonosari, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian dimulai dari bulan Juli sampai dengan Oktober 2017. Persiapan lahan kacang panjang mengikuti metode konvensional yang diterapkan oleh petani setempat. Percobaan menggunakan perlakuan konsentrasi insektisida dimetoat 0; 0,25; 0,5; 0,75; 1,00 ml/L. Aplikasi insektisida dimetoat dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali. Pengamatan percobaan meliputi populasi A. craccivora dan intensitas serangan M. testulalis pada setiap petak perlakuan. Interval pengamatan pada tiga hari setelah aplikasi insektisida. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Efektivitas insektisida dimetoat dalam mengendalikan hama dilakukan melalui uji efikasi. Apabila nilai efikasi insektisida (EI) ≥70%, maka insektisida dimetoat dianggap efektif. Data perlakuan yang berbeda nyata diuji menggunakan uji Duncan pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi insektisida dimetoat berpengaruh nyata terhadap populasi A. craccivora pada tanaman kacang panjang. Populasi A. craccivora tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol, sedangkan yang terendah adalah perlakuan konsentrasi 1,00 ml/L menghasilkan nilai efikasi (EI) ≥70% pada empat kali pengamatan. Hasil pengamatan M. testulalis menunjukkan konsentrasi insektisida dimetoat berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap intensitas serangan larva M. testulalis pada polong tanaman kacang panjang.

English Abstract

Yard long bean Vigna sesquipedalis L. (Fabaceae) is a vegetable plant that widely cultivated and consumed by people in Indonesia. The production of yard long bean in Indonesia has decreased and threatened crop failure due to Aphis craccivora Koch (Homoptera: Aphididae) and Maruca testulalis Geyer (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) attack. In overcoming pest attacks, farmers use insecticides as easy to apply controls. The type of insecticide used to control A. craccivora and M. testulalis is dimetoat. The correct information about proper concentration of dimetoat in controlling A. craccivora and M. testulalis is required by the farmers. This study aims to determine the effect of dimetoat concentration to A. craccivora and M. testulalis on yard long bean plants. The research was conducted at yard long bean field in Plandi Village, Wonosari District, Malang Regency. The research was started on July to October 2017. Preparation of bean field followed the conventional methods applied by local farmers. The treatments used in this experiment were dimethoate insecticide concentration in 0; 0,25; 0,5; 0,75; 1,00 ml/L. Applications of dimethoate were done 5 times along the research period. The experimental observations included A. craccivora populations and the intensity of M. testulalis attack in each treatment plot. The observation was done in three days interval after application of insecticide. The design used was Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The effectiveness of the insecticide in pest controlling was done through the efficacy test. If the insecticide efficacy score (EI) ≥70%, then the insecticide was considered effective. The data that gave significant difference was then tested using Duncan test in 5% error level. The results showed that the concentration of dimethoate insecticide gave significant effect to the population of A. craccivora in yard long bean plants. The highest A. craccivora populations were found in control treatment, while the lowest population was found in sample with 1,00 ml/L concentration of dimethoate with efficacy score (EI) ≥70% in four times observations. The observation of M. testulalis showed that the concentration of dimethoate insecticide gave no significant effect on the intensity of M. testulalis larvae attack on yard long bean plant pod.
