Abstract
Berdasarkan ketentuan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2013 Tentang Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Perusakan Hutan, menyatakan bahwa “hutan adalah suatu ekosistem berupa hamparan lahan berisi sumber daya alam hayati yang didominasi pepohonan dalam komunitas alam lingkungannya yang tidak dapat dipisahkan antara yang satu dan yang lainnya”. Perlunya penerapan Pasal 83 ayat (1) huruf a Undang-Undang Nomor 18 tahun 2013 tentangPencegahan dan Pemberantasan Perusakan Hutan adalah agar dapat meminimalisir terjadinya kejahatan pembalakan liar atau penebangan kayu secara ilegal (illegal logging).
English Abstract
Based on the provisions in the Act No. 18 Year 2013 on Prevention and Eradiction of Forest Destructionstating that "a forest is an ecosystem in the form of a stretch of land that contains biodiversity natural resources where it dominated by trees in a natural environment that cannot be separated between the one and the other." The necessity to apply Chapter 83 Verse (1) Letter A of the Act No. 18 Year 2013 on Prevention and Eradication of the Destruction of the Forest is in order to minimize the occurrence of illegal logging.
