Abstract

Jumlah penduduk Indonesia yang semakin bertambah serta meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat akan kebutuhan gizi menyebabkan bertambahnya permintaan konsumsi akan sayuran termasuk selada merah. Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura Departemen Pertanian (2013) menyatakan bahwa konsumsi per kapita produk sayuran di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan menjadi 39,39 kg/tahun pada tahun 2010. Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura (2014) menyatakan secara keseluruhan produksi sayuran di Indonesia belum mencapai target yang ditetapkan yaitu sebesar 91,7%. Jumlah produksi yang belum mampu memenuhi target tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya: teknik budidaya yang kurang tepat atau kurang memadai, rendahnya kualitas hasil sayuran khususnya selada merah serta pengalihan lahan pertanian ke non pertanian seperti pemukiman sehingga menyebabkan berkurangnya ketesediaan lahan bagi petani. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui interaksi antara 2 varietas unggul selada merah dan dosis Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) yang efektif dan sesuai untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil pada tanaman selada merah (Lactuca sativa L.). Hipotesis dari penelitian ini ialah terdapat interaksi antara dosis PGPR dan 2 varietas terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada merah, varietas Red Rapid lebih tinggi dibandingkan varietas Lollo Rossa, dan dosis PGPR memberikan pengaruh bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Dadap rejo, Junrejo, Kota Batu, Jawa Timur. Ketinggian tempat 700 - 1.700 mdpl dengan jenis tanah Inceptisol. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Agustus hingga bulan September 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan faktorial dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan dengan 24 tanaman tiap masing – masing perlakuan. Dimana faktor pertama ialah 2 jenis varietas selada merah sedangkan faktor yang kedua ialah dosis pemberian PGPR per tanaman dengan 12 kombinasi perlakuan yaitu P0V1 : Tanpa PGPR dan varietas Red Rapid (Kontrol), P0V2 = Tanpa PGPR dan varietas Lollo Rossa (Kontrol), P1V1 : PGPR 100 ml dan Varietas Red Rapid, P2V1 : PGPR 150 ml dan Varietas Red Rapid, P3V1 : PGPR 200 ml dan Varietas Red Rapid, P4V1 : PGPR 250 ml dan Varietas Red Rapid, P5V1 : PGPR 300 ml dan Varietas Red Rapid, P1V2 : PGPR 100 ml dan Varietas Lollo Rossa, P2V2 : PGPR 150 ml dan Varietas Lollo Rossa, P3V2 : PGPR 200 ml dan Varietas Lollo Rossa, P4V2 : PGPR 250 ml dan Varietas Lollo Rossa, P5V2 : PGPR 300 ml dan Varietas Lollo Rossa. Data hasil pengamatan yang ii di dapatkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA) dengan taraf 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) pada tanaman memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap varietas selada merah danterdapat interaksi antara 2 varietas selada merah dengan pemberian dosis PGPR pada parameter bobot segar tanaman, bobot segar konsumsi tanaman, bobot akar tanaman, panjang akar tanaman, kandungan klorofil dan kandungan antosianin daun. Pada parameter bobot segar tanaman, bobot segar konsumsi tanaman, kandungan klorofil daun dan kandungan antosianin daun yang paling tinggi terdapat pada pemberian PGPR dosis 250 ml (P5). Pada semua parameter pengamatan kecuali kandungan klorofil daun varietas Red Rapid (V1) lebih tinggi dibandingkan varietas Lollo Rossa (V2).Sedangkan pada kandungan klorofil varietas Lollo Rossa (V2) yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan varietas Red Rapid (V1).

English Abstract

The growing number of Indonesians as well as the growing public awareness of nutritional needs lead to increased consumption of vegetables including red lettuce. Directorate General of Horticulture of the Department of Agriculture (2013) stated that consumption per capita of vegetable products in Indonesia increased to 39.39 kg / year in 2010. Directorate General of Horticulture (2014) stated overall vegetable production in Indonesia has not reached the set target of 91.7%. The amount of production that has not been able to meet the target can be caused by several factors such as : inappropriate or inadequate cultivation techniques, low quality of vegetables, especially red lettuce and the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural such as settlement causing reduced land availability for farmers. The purpose of this research was to determine the interaction between two red lettuce varieties and Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) dose that were effective and appropriate for growth and yield on red lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). The hypothesis of this research is that there are interaction between PGPR doses and 2 varieties on growth and red lettuce yield, Red Rapid variety is higher than Lollo Rossa variety, and PGPR dose gives the effect for growth and yield of red lettuce. This research was conducted in Dadap rejo, Junrejo, Kota Batu, East Java. The altitude is 700 - 1,700 mdpl with Inceptisol soil type. The study was conducted from August to September 2017. This research was a factorial experiment using Randomized Block Design consisting of 2 treatment factors and 3 replications with 24 plants for each treatment. Where the first factor is 2 types of red lettuce varieties while the second factor is the dose of PGPR per plant with 12 treatment combinations of P0V1: without PGPR and Red Rapid variety (Control), P0V2 = without PGPR and Lollo Rossa variety (control), P1V1 : PGPR 100 ml and Red Rapid variety, P2V1 : PGPR 150 ml and Red Rapid variety, P3V1 : PGPR 200 ml and Red Rapid variety, P4V1 : PGPR 250 ml and Red Rapid variety, P5V1 : PGPR 300 ml and Red Rapid variety, P1V2 : PGPR 100 ml and Lollo Rossa variety, P2V2 : PGPR 150 ml and Lollo Rossa variety, P3V2 : PGPR 200 ml and Lollo Rossa variety, P4V2 : PGPR 250 ml and Lollo Rossa variety, P5V2 : PGPR 300 ml and Lollo Rossa variety. The observed data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with 5% level and continued with the least significant difference (LSD) test at 5% level. The results showed that PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) on plants gave a significant effect on red lettuce varieties and there was interaction between 2 red lettuce varieties with PGPR dosage on parameter of plant fresh iv weight, fresh weight of plant consumption, root weight, root length, chlorophyll and anthocyanin content of leaves. On parameter of plant fresh weight, fresh weight of plant consumption, chlorophyll content and anthocyanin content of leaf, the highest effect was found in the administration of PGPR 250 ml dosage (P4). Almost all observation parameters except the content of Red Rapid (V1) leaf chlorophyll varieties were higher than Lollo Rossa (V2) varieties. While the content of chlorophyll Lollo Rossa varieties (V2) is higher than the varieties of Red Rapid (V1).
