Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Palang Kabupaten Tuban yang dimulai pada bulan Juli-November 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keberhasilan Inseminasi Buatan (IB) menggunakan semen sexing dobel dosis pada sapi Persilangan Ongole Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah betina induk sapi Persilangan Ongole milik peternak sebanyak 32 ekor diinseminasi menggunakan semen sexing dobel dosis dan 64 ekor menggunakan semen non sexing. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi langsung dilapang terhadap sapi Persilangan Ongole. Inseminator yang bertugas pada penelitian ini adalah inseminator profesional dengan deposisi semen pada posisi 4+ dan IB dilakukan pada betina yang memiliki kriteria reproduksi yang baik dan kondisi birahi ++. Variabel yang diamati adalah Non Return Rate (NRR), Service per Conception (S/C), dan Conception Rate (CR). Pengamatan NRR dilakukan pada hari ke 19-21 dan pada hari ke 40-42 setelah dilakukan IB. Angka CR diperoleh dari pemeriksaan kebuntingan pada bulan ke-3 menggunakan metode palpasi rectal selanjutnya data yang diproleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa parameter keberhasilan IB menggunakan semen sexing dobel dosis mulai NRR0-21 sebesar 81,25%, dan pada NRR22-42 sebesar 78,12%, sedangkan untuk perlakuan semen non sexing menunjukan hasil NRR0-21 sebesar 90,63% dan NRR22-42 sebesar 79,69%. Nilai S/C yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah 1,19% untuk IB menggunakan semen sexing dobel dosis dan untuk IB menggunakan semen non sexing diperoleh nilai S/C sebesar 1,09%. Presentase CR pada IB menggunakan semen sexing dobel dosis sebesar 68,75% dan IB menggunakan semen non sexing sebesar 43,75%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi IB menggunakan semen sexing dan non sexing memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap angka NRR0-21, NRR22-42 dan S/C dan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap angka CR. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tingkat keberhasilan IB menggunakan semen sexing dobel dosis lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan IB menggunakan semen non sexing. Nilai NRR0-21 dan NRR22-42 untuk semua perlakuan belum tentu menghasilkan nilai CR yang baik, namun pada nilai S/C untuk semua perlakuan menghasilkan nilai sangat baik. Saran untuk penelitian ini diharapkan pelaksanaan IB menggunakan semen sexing dapat diaplikasikan pada peternakan rakyat secara maksimal mengingat hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini sangat baik.

English Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know about the successfully Artificial Insemination (AI) using double dosage sexed semen on ongole crossbreed cattle. The study was conducted in subdistrict Palang, Tuban Regency from July to November 2017. The study materials were 96 Ongole Crossbred cattle. Sixty four cattle were inseminated using non sexed semen and thirty two were inseminated using sexed semen double dosage. Samples were selected randomly using some criteria, such as free from any reproduction disorder and that semen deposition in position 4+. This field experiment consisted of direct observation and interview to acquire primary and secondary data. The evaluation of success Artificial Insemination was calculated based on non return rate (NRR), service per conception (S/C), and conception rate (CR). The study showed that AI treatment using double dosage sexed semen had NRR0-21 81.25%, NRR22-42 62.50%, S/C 1.19, and CR 68.75% at AI treatment using non sexed semen show the result that NRR0-21 90.63%, NRR22-42 79.69%, S/C 1.09, and CR 43.75%. The result of statistic showed that AI treatment using sexed semen and non sexed semen gave no significant effect (P> 0,05) to NRR0-21, NRR22-42 and S / C and gave significant effect (P <0,05) to CR. The study concluded that artificial insemination (AI) using double dosage sexed semen had better results than Artificial Insemination (AI) using non sexed semen for beef cattle.
