Abstract
Peran UMKM sangat penting karena mampu menciptakan pasar-pasar, mengembangkan perdagangan, mengelola sumber daya alam, mengurangi kemiskinan, dan membuka lapangan pekerjaan. Salah satu UMKM yang ada di Kota Malang memproduksi kerajinan keramik sejak tahun 1930 dengan jumlah mencapai 50 pengrajin sehingga menjadi ikon di Kota Malang, namun seiring berjalannya waktu jumlah pengrajin menurun karena beberapa faktor diantaranya yaitu adanya program pemerintah yaitu pergantian minyak tanah menjadi LPG sehingga para pengrajin harus membuat alat tungku pembakaran berbahan bakar LPG, dan harganya pun tergolong tidak murah, kemudian faktor lain penyebab terjadinya penurunan jumlah pengrajin adalah tidak adanya regenerasi. Saat ini jumlah pengrajin UMKM sentra industri keramik hanya 30 pengrajin dengan jumlah 100 tenaga kerja. UMKM ini layak untuk dijaga dan dilestarikan keberadaannya khususnya oleh pengrajin tersebut. Untuk keberlangsungan suatu usaha para pengrajin memerlukan laba yang tinggi. Keberhasilan suatu usaha dapat dilihat pada tingkat laba yang diperoleh perusahaan itu sendiri karena tujuan utama perusahaan pada umumnya adalah untuk memperoleh laba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya keuntungan dari usaha kerajinan keramik Dinoyo dan pengaruh variabel terhadap laba pengrajin. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti memasukan variabel yang berkaitan dengan laba pada umumnya yaitu modal usaha, tenaga kerja, penggunaan teknologi, tingkat keterampilan, lama usaha dan jaringan usaha. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer diperoleh menggunakan kuesione. Hasil penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel terhadap laba pengrajin, dan besarnya keuntungan dari usaha kerajinan keramik.
English Abstract
The role of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) are very important because they are capable to create markets, develop trade, manage natural resources, decrease poverty, and provide jobs. One of the MSME in Malang produces ceramic crafts since 1930 with 50 craftsmen as the total number and this business become an icon of Malang. But, as the time goes, the number of the craftsmen has been decreased because of several factors; such as the establishment of goverments program, which changes the usage of kerosine to LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas). Because of this program, the craftsmen need to build a furnace that can be fueled by LPG, which is more expensive than the kerosine ones. Another factor that causes the decreasing of the number of the craftsmen is the absent of a regeneration. Today, the number of the Central Ceramic Industrys craftsmen are only 30 with the number of labor are 100. This MSMEs existence should be protected and preserved, especially by the craftsmen themselves. For protecting and preserving a business, the craftsmen needs a high profits. The success of a business can be seen in their profit rates; because the main objective of a business is, in general, to gain profits. This study aims to know how big is the profits of ceramic crafts business in Dinoyo Sub-district and what is the effect of variables to the profits of the craftsmen. In this study, the writer inserts some variables that relevant to the profits in general; working capital, labor, technology usage, level of skill, long of efforts and networking efforts. The data used in this study is a primary data, which obtained by making questionnaire. The results of this study is to know the effects of variables to the craftsmens profits, and how big is the profits from the ceramic crafts business
