Abstract

Investasi asing langsung adalah salah satu jenis investasi, yaitu salah satu sumber ekonomi negara, karena kemampuan untuk menciptakan pasar tenaga kerja dan transfer teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara investasi langsung asing (FDI) dan produk domestik bruto (PDB) di India. Menggunakan data FDI dan PDB pada periode 1980-2014, dan metode kausalitas, penelitian ini mencoba memeriksa FDI menyebabkan PDB atau apakah PDB menyebabkan FDI. Untuk memeriksa hubungan antara dua variabel, ada tes tiga langkah yang dilakukan, uji akar unit (menggunakan uji ADF). Uji integrasi CO (menggunakan uji integrasi Johansen CO). dan tes kausalitas (menggunakan tes kausalitas Granger). Kesimpulan mengindikasikan bahwa FDI memengaruhi PDB.

English Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment is one of type investment, that is one of the sources of a nations economy, because of ability to create labour market and transfer technology. This study aims to determine the relationship between foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in India. Using the data of FDI and GDP on 1980-2014 periods, and method of causality, this study tried to examine FDI causes GDP or whether GDP causes FDI. To examine the relationship between two variables, there are three steps test conducted, unit roots test (using the ADF test); co integration test (using the Johansen co integration test); and causality test (using the Granger Causality test). Conclusion indicated that FDI influence GDP.
