Abstract

Zakat merupakan salah satu ibadah yang sering dipandang hanya sebagi bentuk dari ibadah semata. namun sebenarnya zakat mengandung sisi lain yaitu sisi keduniawiannya. Studi ini dilakukan untuk memahami aspek keduniawian yang terkandung di dalam zakat. Al Quran, sebagai kitab suci umat islam, hadis-hadis Muhammad SAW, bersama dengan buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal digunakan sebagai data. Studi literatur atau pustaka digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam studi ini, dan analisis yang digunakan adalah studi islam kontekstual. Zakat tidak dapat dianggap hanya sebagai bentuk ibadah kepada Allah, Sang Maha Pencipta, tetapi zakat sendiri memiliki makna, fungsi dan manfaat kepada semua manusia melalui aspek lainnya yaitu ekonomi dan sosial. Pelaksanaan zakat secara benar dapat menjadi solusi dalam memecahkan maslaah yang muncul dalam lingkup ekonomi dan sosial. Studi ini terbatas pada bagaimana melihat efek dari zakat yang berfokus pada aspek keagamaan, ekonomi dan sosial. Studi selanjutnya dalam bidang ini diharapkan dapat memperluas dan mengisi keterbatasan yang ada, karena zakat masih dapat dikaji melalui sudut pandang yang berbeda. Studi lebih jauh mengenai zakat setelah ini akan memperkuat dan mengukuhkan posisinya sebagai alat untuk menciptakan kestabilan komunitas yang tidak hanya mempengaruhi muslim saja sebagai pemeluk islam, namun kepada semua umat manusia.

English Abstract

Zakah is a form of worship that usually being seen as a form of worship only, on the contrary, zakah also consists of other aspects, namely worldly aspects. This study was conducted to understand the aspects that consist in zakah. Al Quran, as the holy book of islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) hadiths, along with books and scientific journal are used as data. Literature review is used as the approach of this study, and contextual Islamic studies used as analysis. Zakah cannot be treated only as a form of worship towards Allah, The Creator of All, but zakah has further means and functions, and benefits to all humanity through its other aspects, namely economic and social. The correct establishment of zakat can be a solution on solving the problems that emerge in the economic and social areas. This research is limited on viewing the effects of zakah in the light of its benefit on religious, economic and social. The next research that conducted on this field perhaps can broaden the view and fill the empty space, because zakah still can be seen on another point of view or perspective. Any further research conducted on the theme of zakah will furthermore justify the position of it as a tool of community stability that affect not only for moslem as the follower of islam, but to all of humanity.
