Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris tentang pengaruh karakteristik perusahaan terhadap return saham dari perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam Jakarta Islamic Index pada tahun 2008-2011 baik secara parsial atau bersama-sama. Variabel karakteristik perusahaan yang digunakan adalah Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Long-term Debt to Capitalization Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), dan Price to Book Value (PBV). Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel yang berasal dari perusahaanperusahaan yang terdaftar dalam Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling . Dari metode tersebut diperoleh 32 sampel saham syariah yang memenuhi kriteria untuk digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik regresi linear berganda dan jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa variabel karakteristik perusahaan yakni Price Earning Ratio (PER) dan Long-term Debt to Capitalization Ratio secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return saham syariah.
